I have just fitted 4 wooden venetians that were delivered this week. Ordered two weeks ago. They were all wrapped like parcels in bubble wrap inside the boxes (including the valances). All were exactly as ordered, including one 'special order' valance, and the right number of brackets were included and there was no damage. I fitted them, they all worked beautifully. End result one very happy customer, and I was out in a little over an hour. This is how it should be! I'm a bit confused - this was my post of 17/2 were you going to add comments

Had team meeting last night. FSM very upfront about wood venetians. Said not to discount or beat-a-quote on these. I asked if he meant we should walk away from an order rather than discount, and the man said "yes" - all it's doing is adding to the problem - so the problem definitely ain't fixed

My FSM has stated:
"There is very little wrong with the Wooden venetians & that nearly all the DOR's were unnecessary & should never have been sent back!.... Quality Control can't find the problems we are reporting!!!!"
Is this an FSM that's also swimming in that Egyptian river .....DENIAL??!!

Well a positive Friday !! Fitted 10 Wood Venetians today, 5 were in one bay. Absolutely perfect, all worked, matched and in good condition - Well done Washington. In a post yesterday I said I'd try to be positive today, so far so good. Think I'll leave the phones on answerphone with volume down, not look at my emails and have a beer. My wife gone to France for the weekend so it's all adding up to positive day ;D

Phugly You need a check-up from the neck up, mate, for doing that. Just because one of us got 2 decent fittable woodens doesnt mean you can go mad, you know. Hope it works out--keep us informed?? Bear Oh dear, i've just ordered some too! What have i done Fitted 3 yesterday, 2 were so so, the 3rd was not even cut square. From the bottom slat going up to the headrail where it was 1cm wider. Everythging was bubble wrapped along with the QC sticker stuck in the headrail, so on this blind in question, it was not checked at all, I took it down before the customer saw it, and said I would bring it back as it needed adjusting. Am I right in saying that these blind don't close properly. When fully shut, they are far wider open than they used to be.

A friend of mine asked me to look at his blinds he sourced off the net. They looked fine to me, not the cheap Ikea brand, they had the big 50mm headrail. cord controls, not the pole wand, and worked just as well if not better. He paid £180 for the 3. I did a quick measure, and they would have come out at £570. If I need for my use, I know where I would go.
