Congratulations on having a copy of the yellow pages and being able to type names of companies.
I was referring to competition in your area, not the whole county.
That is comp inyour town/city, who advertize along side hillarys or have shops. Also other advisers.
If you don't have alot of the above, then its obvious your figures ewill be better.
Anyway no bg deal and good luck to you.

I welcome the new roller fabrics, this book has been long overdue for a make over. However the new fabrics they are making abig deal about, (suede/leather/natural weave) have been available to the customers for a few years, via our comp. Why has it taken them so long to get up to date! Also the new shapes have been around for years. All the above are sold at more realistic prices by the comp too! Yet another example of hillarys juming on the band wagon to late! Let me quess? in about 2 years they might bring in "perfect fit" pleated. If any of you have seen this, it is the future, roof blinds are available now. Also why should I keep losing customers because hillarys do not do woodens over 200cm. Oh I forgot, I don't!!!!  |

It is possible to make at least £40 per £99 deal, if you use your head.

The new wood venetians will go over 200 wide Mark lucas has informed me I think most of us on here tend to be honest so making 40 on a 3 for 99 would be against our better judgement but i do agree 15 is pathetic which is why i choose not to sell it even if it was advertised. Tell you what, when you have nothing better to do, try an internet phone directory and put in every name I gave you. They're either national companies or will have a PO (Portsmouth) postcode, with the exception of Oxford Blinds, which being based in Botley, probably has a SO (Southampton) postcode. As I said before, Hillarys do around £250k/month in Hants & IOW, it's a good area, it attracts a lot of blind companies. But you stay in denial, it's easier than opening your mind. It seems I am openly admitting what is not new to many.
I'm sorry to upset the others, however it is a solution to your woes, until things change.
It solves your lack of business problem, it solves your lost sale problem, it solves your lack of product problem, it solves your profitability problem, it solves your security problem, it solves your quality problems.
All without adversely affecting your hillarys turnover.
The one problem it highlights is the ineptitude you see and the frustrations you feel, when you see how things should and could be run.
No worries, good luck to you, at least you can come here and get it of your chest.
I shall say no more..............well maybe...
