I think a clever lawyer would argue higher prices are for ........
choosing in the home service
professional advice (well from you, me, and a few others, but some of the advisors I've met ........)
wider range of blinds
larger sizes available
but measuring and fitting are free.
The problem is, it's free from every other company as well. I was part of a small trial group using Shadewell awnings before the rest of you. Kevin Barry, owner of Shadewell, questioned our advertising.
Is "measuring and fitting free" unique to Hillarys, or do all our competitors offer the same?
Free quotations??? When did you last pay anyone to provide a quote?
Why don't we offer something a little different?
Our basic advertising message hasn't changed in the 17 years I've been with Hillarys, so here's the real challenge .....
Apart from Hillarys core advertising message of FREE QUOTE/FREE MEASURING AND FITTING/ UP TO 50% OFF
What else is exactly the same today as 17 years ago.
here's your starter for 10 ..............
commission rate
I'm still as young and good looking
Exactly......the advertising is still the same old stale boring crap, made worse and not better by 3 for 99 and the like.
sorry Rose, but i thought graduates and the like could come up with something more awe inspiring than what we have.
Are we not the biggest and best
there you go, we are being overtaken by competitors.
i mean, whats with the fancy invites to the "roadshows",... Roadshow for gods sake..
more money wasted on fancy hotels, food and free bar.
Free bars don't pay the mortgage !!!
Seriously, if nothing positive comes out of "the roadshow", then its time for action.
I am now competing with 4 other advisors. So where is the incentive to do my job properly, just so i can have the customers i win over from the mess Hillarys call centre makes of cocking up the leads, just so they can be passed to other advisors.
As someone has posted, maybe they dont want big hitting advisors anymore.
well after 16 years have i not proved my worth.
Try help Hillarys out by sorting out other advisors thingy ups, and all you get is greif beyond belief.
NOTHING has changed from the forums back in feb'.
My leads for the last few weeks have been at an all time low for this time of year.
"oh its quite everywhere",
well why is the delivery van still piled high for the new advisors ??
Finally found a good fitter, after years of searching. No bloody work for him now.
How can you build a business under conditions like that.
Is that not what our contracts say. Hillarys are to build our business
.
Have Hillarys had any grief from my busines over the years. Do i not do the job properly.?
Here we go again, ranting about the same thing, week in week out, well maybe its time to say enough is enough.
All the issues are still with us, certainly no better, maybe even a bit worse.
I suppose with a company that is so big now, it is to be expected.
maybe my mindset towards customers has got to change. They are now just a name and number, move onto the next one.
I have had an order of £750, and n order of £550 for another advisor who I am tring to sort, written off, without a 2nd thought, d.o.rs coming out of my ears, like everyone. How can they justify that.
is this the kind of company i want to continue to represent
all i have heard from customers this last few months, is, we are too expensive, and customers will not use us again.
Now i know you tend to dwell on negatives rather than positives, but honestly, there isn't too much positivity about at the moment !
I know its Farmer moaning again, but where else can I vent my anger.
I am stale, uninspired, fed up, and....... slightly drunk off.
