There seems to be an increase in the number of orders not being delivered in time, but not only this, blinds being delivered by carrier are arriving in sh*t condition. Had three venetians delivered this week, two of which looked as though they had been run over by a truck and were in no condition to be fitted and the third had the carton broken in half with 3ft of control rod sticking out the end. Usually the blinds are well packaged for the carrier but lateley they seem to be just sent as is. Another thing that really annoys me is that orders sent by carrier have no invoices with them and trying to get replacement invoices is next to impossible. You cant leave a business customer with a hand written reciept for tax cos IR will not accept it What bugs me though, about late deliveries, is that service support are supposed to call the customer (and no doubt offer 50% discounts). Last night sorting out my deliveries/fits for today, I have 1 order not delivered, and no phone call to let me know. But, at the same time, yesterday I had a call to say 1 blind (made at Nottingham) on an order of 3 (the other 2 made in Washington), was not recieived at Washington, in time for the van departing. Checking fit date with me and asking if I would need it couriered up. So I am now waiting with baited breath, wondering if it will come, ..... or not. The courier packing must be a Nottingham dispatch problem. Our deliveries come from Washington, and venetians and vertical rails are usually well protected with that cardboard angle, wrapped around with the 'fragile' tape. Vertical boxes are often packed inside another box. I have even had a vertical rail over 4.5m long arrive ok. Just as well as the driver says it was too long for the van and a DOR would have to come by courier as well. Invoices are definately a problem. Dispatch will not send, as they say there may a confidentiality issue, but they are supposed to come with your next van run. But, I have requested invoices on orders delivered normally, that are incomplete, and it is neigh on impossible to get them sorted out.

Hereticus, I've been monitoring your posts and detected a worrying trend to wards the negative! Is everything ok? ............... I still think that the seminars worked well, that the company understand most of our problems, and that some within the company are motivated towards change, but so far there is little real evidence of progress........ If the "company understand most of our problems" then this worries me even more considering the changes they have implemented hardly addresses any of them and cost us more money !!

My delivery has just arrived.
Total of 5 blinds missing from 3 seperate orders...all due to be fitted this week. All venetians...... 4 aluminium and one wood.
Anyone else missing their venetians?

Brilliant day today. 1 fit cancelled due to non-availability of blinds. 1 appointment LPM cancelled. Appointment this morning left quote, customer just called back, wants to go ahead, but wants to add 2 other windows. Well the quote I left was for 2 windows @ £70, so I suppose I can go back today for another £70. Call from customer, faulty Roman blind. Well I can see him today as well. That will leave 1 other appointment for LPM. Don't work Wed evenings, Scout night. And they want to increase my availability?

Same here. 6 venetians should have been fitted tomorrow but no can do cos they aint here. What the hell is going on,I thought a trouble shooter had been sent some weeks ago but things seem to get worse ? MM

Remember the 'Good old days' when the Venetians department was the best of the lot? I thought Wooden venetians where out of their hands because of decisions from above ... but now the whole Washington system seems to be 'grinding' to a halt!!!!! I can't believe how many 'fitting promises' are being broken now!!! On top of this there has been a massive increase of 'Suspended' fabrics on all products. Something is seriously wrong at Hillarys!!!!

There has been a big meeting today regarding this ( according to my sources ! ) .
Might lead to the suspension of wooden ? Possibility of a new supplier anyway.
More news as we get it !

It's ok folks I've had it explained to me why blinds are not arriving in time for us to fit. It's all OUR fault because some advisors are giving less than 15 days from order to fit and that's created the backlog !! Amazes me, didn't think they even looked at fit date considering blinds due for fit in say 20 days don't arrive but blinds with fit date 4 weeks after arrive in a few days. Also I've been waiting 3 days for blinds sent by courier that haven't turned up, after chasing for a number of days I've just been given Citylink's telephone number & reference and told to chase myself as dispatch is toooooo busy & short staffed to chase. So now I have to deal with dispatch of blinds as well - well I'm short staffed (only me) and I DON't get paid to do it. This is now going beyond a joke

messages have been left on my answer machine telling me of non-delivery on venetians, also telling ME to phone customer to let them know.!! What happened to them contacting customer as per memo dated May 2005.

I complained about this a while ago, and was told it is better for the agent to 'phone as we know the customer, and will be able to re-shedule easier. But at least they contacted you. I had one yesterday where I discovered the blind was not on my van and had to a) chase Hillary's to find out why. b) to 'phone customer and grovell. But at least that way I avoided giving a discount.

Right shambles init! & now I"ve had a mailer saying its partly advisors fault Because we give a 2 week lead time for fitting! SAMs set up for 14 days & for the last 18 months since this Area Of Excellence was rolled out we were told it was 14 days. Do the suits really think we are so daft! Its their thingy up not us advisors

On my delivery sheet this week is RISPAPH, which I assume is printer paper (unless it stands for Risman paper?). Guess what - no sign of it, so have they run out of it, somebody stolen it, or are they just pretending to send so they can complain about the amount of the stuff going missing so they have re-introduce charging for it? Christ, Hillarys have turned me in to a conspiracy theorist - I'm looking for them everywhere. Now, where's that grassy knoll that shot JR, or was a Kennedy that shot JR, or did JR shoot the grassy knoll .......... it's all becoming too much for me No, I think it's coming back ........ it was JR in the library with the grassy knoll. Or was it Kennedy in the grassy knoll with the JR .......
