farmer, if I were you I would pass on any extra hire costs to the customer. If they won't pay then walk away !
You are only getting around £15 for the job anyway !

Just had my local paper and seen the biggest advert ever placed in it for Hillarys..... quarter page. YEP [glow=red,2,300] 3 rollers or venetians for £99[/glow] And just in case you miss that one it's also on another page!! Got a leaflet with my Express, and the postman has also just delivered one. Not much chance of anyone NOT knowing about the offer when we arrive at their home. What did Mellisa say? Don't lead with the offers, the customer may well have forgotton about it by the time you get to their house!! Mmmmm...... don't think so. Just had the news letters from Hillarys. We are going to be busy!! 38.5 million leaflets are going out promoting the 3 for £99 offers, and order by 16th to have fitted by Xmas, and most of them seem to be offering 10% or 15% off the first order. Our diarys will be too full to fit in customers that might actually create some commission. I might just follow HGV and take a holiday until it's all over..... I really hate being so negative...... but this is mad!!

Farmer, hasn't your grey gone out of stock then? haven't seen the ad for latest 3 for £99 with vens and rollers, but surely it can't list all colours supposed to be on offer, can it?

i've taken the 'offer' (the 3 least likely to sell of each) samples out of the presenter and bundled them together like the vertical and roller offer ones. then only if customer asks do i pull them out and because they are all together they look minging! usually enough to put them off have you found that clg are telling customers to ask about this offer?

Gloryboy..........the woman works for the local rag, in the advertising dept, and has seen the proofs, before going to print, have fitted blinds for her for years. Now she thinks I have tried to rip her off, and won't be using me again. THANKS HILLARYS ANOTHER CUSTOMER YOU HAVE LOST ME.

Mellissa Get youre head above the parapet it looks to me like there are a lot of angry agents out there and you are doing nothing to help. It looks to me that most of the agents are exprienced at dealing with sales to customers and know a bit more about what the customer thinks than you and youre fsms do so dont patronise them with youre sell up garbage. The customers want one thing and one thing alone when they see the adverts 3 for 99. And if you would listen to your agents you might find that out. It never ceases to amaze why when managers know all the answers are working for hillarys when they would earn a lot more than us as agents. Sorry i am very angryI just had acall from the daughter of a customer who I sold 3 acacia rollers to on sunday and her daughter has just rung to cancel as she had seen the 3 for £99 offer and i have now been accused of ripping off her mother because she is elderly. I am always positive about sales but what is going at hillarys makes me very angry and very negative.

Nothing new here from me fellow doormats but (even at 10.06pm) have got to add my name to the GROWING list of thoroughly cheesed off advisors suffering this 3 for 99 ****. My diary is FULL for weeks with customers who want to spend £99 - NOT more. Like the rest of you here I'm a quite capable salesperson but when customers have 3 for 99 maildrops, inserts, adverts thrust at them - THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT - We are appealing to the customers in areas of my patch that rarely spend more than the minimum because their disposable income is v low. This leaves NO ROOM for high net worth customers who place the all round profitable orders. I've already closed chunks of the diary down until this is over IT'S CRAZY and damaging to our reputation we're cheap cheap cheap - I expect we'll be walking along with a tacky sandwich board next to the massive golf sale bloke and then opening a stall at the market and car boot "3 for 99" Sorry just had to add my voice and got carried away - BUT IT'S ALL TRUE - STOP IT HILLARYS OR THE DIARY GETS IT!

Could not agree more with madman and dennis. Perhaps if every agent puts their comments about this offer here head office might get some batteries for their hear ing aids cos the only reason I can think of for them not listening so come on all agents lets get writing its the only way we are going to get them to listen

I will be taking notes to my 'team' meeting in the morning on all this so it will be interesting to hear what has been pre-programmed into my fsm by HQ on this !

I'm also reducing availability till this nonsense stops. I would sooner have some time off than do 2 visits to a customer (minimum 2 hrs plus appts that don't buy) for £14.53 less costs.
Last year had a cracking time right up to Christmas Eve with some nice juice orders, looks like this year both I and Hillarys are going to earn less.
Haven't heard anything about increasing slots in the run up to Xmas. Presume not needed because if we were going to be very busy dealing with increased demand before Christmas no business person would dream of filling advisor's and manufacturing capacity up with cheap non-profitable £33 blinds - or would they ??
