the commission owing should stay an internal no matter what.
If the press are involved it will only hurt all of our businesses.

Could this be the court case that some agents have taken against Hillary's to recover the withheld commission? If it is, then it will make the local papers, if the reporters think it is newsworthy. Nothing this forum can do about that. |

Lucky I read it..or I wouldn't have known! Joy My local papers, three of them, show the offer ends 30/4. One of the free papers comes out on a Wed, the other a Friday, with the pay paper a Thursday. Looks like I will need to check this week again. Appointments yesterday had 4 3 4 99s. One sold up, 2 quotes and the last told me not to waste my time measuring the windows. I did and quoted her £174 for a "B" fabric she selected. But the conversation between her and hubby was on the lines of saying fabric were awfully thin. I should add that in the 3 bay window, only the centre window was covered by a badly hung venetian, that didn't even cover the glass. ___________________________________________________ Response from Joy My local paper comes out Tuesday...... and to add insult to injury... my other job is as a distribution agent for the paper! PS Just checked the extended date (with a magnifying glass) and it says 14th May.  JOY |

Nothing this forum can do about that. Yes,--that'll be it. Case being put together , I believe, solely to chase the stolen commission. Early days yet, but some ex advisors are very focused on this. If it gets in the press , it'll be local I would guess, wouldn't do Hillarys any good on their home turf, that's if papers run with it. any current advisor thinking of naming and shaming hillarys through the press should sit down and think of the damage it will also do us.If we gain a image of mistrust via bad press or slagging off the company to outsiders we only sh1t in our own nest .All this playground talk of watchdog etc just shows how short thinking some of us are if you are a former advisor then fair dos to you but listening to some comments may i add by nameless advisors about bad press makes me wonder how you run your agencies  .Yes its good some of us have stood up and taken hillarys to task over clawbacks etc and if a court case is needed well done ! but please before some of you rejoice in bad press think about the people on the company that run their agencies professionaly and as a sole income bad press is bad press for us all not just hillarys  |

Well said Russell. The comments on this forum regarding saturdays fo-pah have obviously got thru to management and they have taken notice. But if you think that talking this sort of rubbish about the press is going to get anywhere i think you need to wake up and smell the roses. The thing that is going to happen is hillarys are not going to bother with the forum and will have no voice at all.

He just been in here cadging a coffe or three, had a look at this site and laughed his socks off. He would like you all to know that he is now -truly- getting more dosh and decent jobs---and he SETS HIS OWN SALES PRICES and better still he doesn't get his COMMISSION STOLEN by the RossK's of this world? ?? But he still watches the girly men playing football who claim they are hit in face when they get their ankles kicked--so maybe he still needs some corrective therapy---however I will not volunteer to apply it!!! what is happening to hillarys i have been with them for five and a half years and am now worrying about the future with all these changes, they are devaluing the brand image, nearly every customer I now go to asks about the offers, they think they are all going to get bargains Hillarys is going to become the Pound shop,devalue the brand and become the next Ratner

Totally agree with Blindsfitter. My FSM told me I should do more 3 for 99 to get my conversion rate up even tho my Average Order Value is high & Lead effect is high. But I will not sell these silly deals just to please the suits!

They have to make up their mind. Are we ,netto, lidl. Or M n S , J Lewis. One thing for sure we cant be all things to all? This has been Hillarys problem for some time now, they just don't know where their market is anymore. Three years ago, several of us Hampshire advisors were trained for the launch of motorised roof blinds, we're attacking the Sanderson market. At the same time, they introduced 2/£99, we're attacking the bargain basement market. Guess which got all the advertising and which died a death? We're much the same now, pushing awnings and shutters, whilst advertising 4/£129. Sandersons have dropped their prices and for the first time since going bust 10 years ago, are taking orders from me. Appeal are attacking the mid ground with very good web site and sponsoring the weather on local ITV. Hillarys are advertising 4/£129. |

 In this weeks latest news comes a PRICE INCREASE yet posted through our letter boxes this week was a A4 flyer with Christmas Blinds Sale in lots of colour an jazz and plastered all over it 3 for £99    " i dont like those (3-99) but this ones rather nice i'll have that for £99" No that one will be.......... £386......... hello are you ok.. wake up.. hello are you alright.. slap slap, hello miss !!! For pity's sake My patience is wearing thin. isn't everyones patience wearing thin? had a very nice lady say to me yesterday when I was fitting her blinds,how this 3499 must be undermining the company and that it is not the right way at all for such a quality company as our to behave so tacky. I personally didn't know how to answer her. can john r or ross k ,I don't think they would know were to start because in reality they can't come up with anything better. |
