I am absolutely fuming. I have just come back from a customers house who said she knows which fabric it is she wanted and showed me a sample of Florence white. 3 windows to measure so off I go and measure.235 pounds says I. What!!!! she said. I have been told 95 quid fully fitted. It turns out she has gone from the Hillary's site on to Web blinds and ordered the samples and it is Florence white but on Web blinds it is Slalom white. She rang to ask how to order said blinds and was told they would send an adviser, (me, muggins) who would measure them and fit them for 95 quid. Even though she told them the fabric she wanted. If their had not been children in the room my language would have been choice. I would gladly have strangled any H/O staff if they had been their as this is the 3rd instance of this happening inside a month. The customer understood where I was coming from and is now contacting trading standards. Any others experiencing an upward move on this happening.

Red Red, where's your problem? I'll happily measure and fit 3 blinds for £95. You didn't say supply them, just measure and fit. So you measure, she buys from web blinds, you fit and get £95. ;D ;D ;D

Whats good for the goose sort of thing. So whats to stop me selling them at 200 quid and making 100 quid profit. I would only be looking after my own intrests just like Hillarys are. Red Red

Red I think we had this problem some time ago if you remember. Since then I have had several requests to leave measurements but not a cat in hells chance. By putting Web blinds on the front page of Hillarys site is just asking for problems. I thought this was going to be sorted some time ago ?? I had one customer recently who actually had Hillarys site up by the time her partner answered the door to me. You have my sympathy mate. Your on the back foot before you start.

also had this a little while ago. computer on, Web blinds showing, gave a quote and was asked where are the measurements. Told him SAM does not give measurements on quotes. "but I was told told you would come out , measure and leave us with measurements" Tough luck mate, if you think I'm giving you measurements so you can order off web blinds

Web Blinds have not made much impact round my area (doncaster), only had 1/2 doz customers mention it. However it will gather speed and catch more and more of would be customers to the advisor net.
So maybe it's time to embrace the d**n thing.
Why cant Hillarys offer the Web Inquirer the option of having a visit to show the fabrics and a full measure service at a cost of say £20 which goes to advisor. This obviously helps protect our earnings and we could then even offer a fit to the customer. From Hillarys point of view it offers the would be customer a service that no other web blind company is offering.....or maybe i'm missing a point?
good luck to those that sadly have called it a day

Went to a "Customer !!!!!" today who wanted 50% off the internet price of blinds and expected them fitted! What sort message do Hillarys think their advertising is giving out? She was surprised when I told her to try the local pound shop and walked out in disgust.

Went to customer today who said Hillarys wood had 40% off. Not Hillarys says l. Left her a quote and no sizes.
Just looked at webblinds, yep 40% off everything. Put in some sizes,
Hillarys £220 Webblinds £174 -40% = £104.40p

Went to customer house today, she knew exactly what she wanted as she had a sample from our web site. l informed her that Hillarys and webblinds are not the same. Priced her for 2 venetians at £144 (each not in the sale Total £288) To expensive. l'll get them from webblinds she says. As l'm leaving she shows me the folder that came with her samples. Written in bold letters across the middle "WEBBLINDS at www.hillarys.co.uk" just checked webblinds and their price is £79 each, and with 40% reduces that to £47.40 each makes that a total of £94.80. Makes you wonder

Makes you wonder No it doesn't make me wonder a bit!!! I DEFINITELY suggest you feed this back via your FSM in print or by email with a copy to RossK and ask how THEY suggest you combat this competition from a firm called webblinds operating under the false name of Hillarys Blinds--The firm you work for who provide a FITTED SERVICE? ?? Swine!!!! Its time their noses were rubbed in this good and proper.... What is the point of us spending money and time to go out and be insulted by this sort of krap? ? Get their answer and post it on here? ?? Bear
