There has been no mention thats right. But then again would they tell us before everything was set up and in place to introduce it to us? All hypothetical of course.

I think by trial in Nottingham they mean just in house and only available to office staff until its ready. Then it will go nationwide once all the bugs and admin has been sorted out.

However, in order to get that we need to increase our orders by 70% ( I think he said? ) but we also need to increase our availability each by 30%. in order to achieve that figure.
If we don't volunteer this availability then it will be Forced!!!!

So, it appears that not only can Sillyhairys force 4 hours into a 3 hour slot ... they can also force a 9 day week out of us too!!!!

£2.8m commission for 850 advisors for 2 months = £1647/advisor/month
Does that get you excited?
I know this is a simple average, some will earn a lot more, some a lot less, but I used to earn up to £1k+ in commission when I was part time, so assume an awful lot of current part timers are doing the same

So......Hillarys will be telling us how much commission each advisor gets. They may as well say £25m...we won't know any better. The figures all seem to be ficticious.

Like, how many cutomers do have Hillarys have on their database?

If you look on SAM, half the names have several account numbers. I've got 4 myself!!!!

I expect we all took advantage of the £20 wooden blind (wherever it ended up), so there's another 800 orders to put on the records. (And I expect all the staff got one too...)

The more I think about the roadshows, the stranger I find them.

JR talked about how B&Q have fared, and we've done much better, but I've never quoted against B&Q. What about companies we do quote against, on a daily basis? Companies like Thomas Sanderson, Appeal, UK Blinds, and the myriad of local suppliers. And does he really believe our nearest competitor is only 1/5th the size of Hillarys, i.e. £16m?

Perhaps he's only interested in Web Blinds

Dartford Roadshow last night.
Couple of men in suits "guarding the door", looked like the mafia!
Turns out to be fsm's....the door greeters.

Nice to see Nigel Bolton, had a chat with him, got a free pint, cheers.
Met my new fsm didn't get on with him ......nothing new there then. JR came and had a chat with me at the interval, and l must say that l feel a lot more positive about things than before. We spoke about the lack of leads, bonus scheme in the London area.
He has asked me to e-mail him personally in 3 to 4 weeks time if things have not improved. He promised that he would reply to my e-mail, he seemed to have a genuine concern as to how thing are down at the advisor level. l asked if he looked in on this website at all. JR replied "not any more". The second half was starting so we had to end it there.

BF - I seem to think that we've been over this ground before and, last time, after a few PM exchanges we worked it out - so you do know where I'm coming from.

I do NOT condone Hillarys actions over past commission clawbacks, and I do believe that those who sufferred such losses have a valid case which deserves resolution.

However, the other thing I definitely don't condone is the fact that the most vocal complainants seem to think that they can win their argument by throwing personal insults and abuse at others, from behind their cloak of anonymity and to the detriment of the credibility and integrity of this forum and the majority of its members.

I know that you like military analogies - I see Ross Kenney's position as like being the target of sniper fire - he doesn't know where its coming from and he has no way to respond. Can you please explain to me exactly how you think these tactics are ever going to influence anything in your favour ?

This forum helped bring advisors together but now posts like yours continually insulting people and ranting on has turned this forum into a laughing stock. I was at the Dartford roadshow yesterday and talked to a number of management and a director. Their view of the forum is that it's now just a few wingers, I agree with them in the main and that's why I don't want to be included in it.

If you think you have had unwarranted deductions then go to court, stopping genuine discussion doesn't help our case.

For the record I did feel they were trying to listen last night but I won't hold my breath.

How would you go about getting your money back had this happened to you.

A County Court case was started to pursue this very matter 4-5 months ago, and those whose names were on the Plaintiff side ( The Claimants) were either given the hard word about their future supplies of leads by respective FSM's if they persisted with the case or were just asked to go. The case died.
One had their diary so mucked about with--on purpose--that they were forced to work a Bank Holiday weekend when they had specifically booked it off, they then left after a month and now fit kitchens, and still lost £1200 nicked by Hillarys.

You are dealing with a Gestapo here, mate, they are not the local Womens Institute. so for Hereticus to continually repeat himself that " it should all be cleared up by amicable discussion" is just as laughable and frankly as boring and purposeless as the rest of us raging at ROSSK--for it is he who is the root perpetrator of the ongoing theft.

An agent in Yorkshire had £160 quid clawed back last Monday on a job fitted 4 months ago, as the client complained of shade variations-asked that the existing agent did not return, and the next agent in fitted new blinds again completely for free,and on top of which the client got a 50% rebate of monies paid.
They first he heard about it was seeing the deduction on the statement.
