Des, oh Des, oh Des, oh dear (and its your birthday too) !
May I remind you of some of your quotes over recent days :
''Everyone of our stats is higher than yours''
''We weren't THE most successful AOE for nothing''
''See, us Hampshire & IOW people are just the best''
The end month figures also make you look very good (Hampshire £ 391692, Oxfordshire £ 120802) BUT you have overlooked a major discrepancy - 23 advisors in Hampshire, 7 advisors in Oxfordshire SO....
£ 391692 divided by 23 = average £ 17030 £ 120802 divided by 7 = average £ 17257
Err......didn't I say that I would back the best of our guys against the best of yours any day ? Hampshire's conversion rate was only marginally better, and your discounting was much heavier, so....game on ! We're head to head and gonna have some fun over the coming months.
Also, of course, our potential to increase turnover is much greater than yours so yes, perhaps we do need more advisors so long as they are introduced strategically into the right areas at the right times. It might be interesting to find out out the population of each county, the total area, and thereby the population density, so we can also look at market penetration.
At this rate we'll be doing Ray's job for him !

Actually i want to break away from hampshire as my av order value is £500 plus and my conversion rate 92.7% hampshire is dragging me down ! mind you i wont mention my discounts

SORRY I dont wish to be a party pooper. But as this banter and competition is increasing and involves very few amongst us could it not be reserved to "Personal messages" please. Im sure we dont want to go back to the dark days of all that I.D. changing a few months ago and people switching off.

It's simple. We have a new-to-Hillarys FSM with some very different ideas. What he wants to do to is highlight the different KPIs between areas and perhaps generate some good humoured rivalry. Nothing wrong with that, and I doubt there's a sales organisation in the country that doesn't do similar. Some people on here complain bitterly about their FSM, so why not try something a little different? What have you to lose?
Mike is playing with statistics to try and defend his areas reputation - we don't need to ;D even if Russel is declaring IOW as an independent state.
And at least it provides a break from some of the long running moans

And at least it provides a break from some of the long running moans Des and I are of a similar mind - a little friendly rivalry does nobody any harm. There's nothing personal in it, and the element of competition adds a little extra motivation when we set out for a day's work. I know that other advisors in Hampshire and Oxfordshire are watching our exchange of banter and enjoying the fun, so why not ? I do understand, however, that it seems rather insular to most of you because its just two counties, so apologies if you find it a bore. But it does make you think. One of the reasons for establishing this forum over a year ago was because advisors felt isolated. We have moved beyond that in so many ways, and now there are some new FSM's on the block with some refreshing ideas - the things that work, and that we embrace, may then be adopted by others. So, if you feel left out, get your FSM to share KPI's - by county, by FSM, by region, and even nationally. Hillarys have always had the information, but have always chosen to keep us in the dark. We can sit back and watch the new FSM's gradually become disillusioned and sucked into the old mentality, or we can go with the best of their ideas and be part of a process of change. Evolution is always better than revolution.

HERETICUS. I love friendly banter which this most certainly is and we are all up for a bit of friendly competition. But like you say it can come across as a bit of a bore for those not involved. As for getting my FSM to do the same, it would make no difference to me regarding competition as i try to do my best each day anway. An inter county contest or a gun to my head would not improve my figures anymore. This is not negativity or having a go just reality and while i congratulate Hillarys trying to spice things up amongst us their" ideas people" would be better placed sorting more important problems out that would make everything work better and easier and might persuade me to want to cooperate.I never used to feel like this even when i started posting in May but they are making life miserable at times for reasons discussed before and they seem to be happy to always paper over the ever widening cracks. I take alot of their ideas as quite insulting as if my Hillarys school report would say "must try harder". Well there is a hundred more things wrong with them than me. On a lighter note if its currently a 2/3 horse race than what odds can you offer? ;D
