Hi Bear, Changing the subject a bit,,,,,,,,,,,, Talking of diving, have you dived the Red sea, i am a paddy advanced diver and only now dive on summer holidays. Have had a few offers to accompany some of my customers up to stony cove. Malta is a grate place to dive,,,blue hole ,,,fab Libra Hi Libra! I've been diving since learned in Forces way back, Didn't do full advanced PADI until I was 50! Now I am back into it but mostly for profit! With some ex Services mates we go wreck-diving and scavenge brass or anything else we can. Lke the crates of china ( 75% of it unbroken!) we found last week 6 kms off Comino --95 feet down wreck of a Dutch lighter on way back to Rotterdam from Indonesia just after Suez opened. Freak storm threw them onto a reef which has now fallen over since a US Aircraft carrier ran into it in the 1960's!!!!(Typical Yanks "if its not AMERICAN run it over, then bomb it!) Lot of wartime ordnance from the little difficulty the Maltese and our lot had with the Krauts in WW2 so anything roundish with crud on it --leave well alone!! Nice to be able to dive somewhere that no busybody Health and Safety arsieholes try to remove all the danger. Thompson Travel wont let you carry diving kit on their flights--" Because Health & Safety Say so!! back here in the UK , and we might get sued for letting you take your kit on our flights, so you cant --so there --yah boo!" So what if you hire it there? ? We flew Air Mick--sorry Ryan Air who just said Pay here then load it there-next please--my kind of Airline!! What a shower of cowardly unadventurous softies the present so called government are tuirning the Brits into.!!!! If we clear the cost of a trip fom the stuff we sell from dives we are well happy!!! Industrial quantities of beer tend to munch away the profits. 4 of us spent equivalent of £230 sterling on beer in 3 nights boozing--AND diving next morning. I wonder what the Heath & Safety wassocks have to say about that! Look at www.vistmalta.com and follow diving links! Oh and to answer your question, Yes I have done the Red Sea at Sharm el Sheikh, and Maldives and Seychelles all as a civvie for fun and beer! Also done a few other interesting underwater trips when I worked for Mrs Windsor, but thats another story!! Cheers Bear

Went to fit a dor on a sloping headrail, one of the new louvers had a join in the middle with masking tape. Yes masking tape.
"Blinds at the speed of light"
You could not make it up! Thankfully the customer laughed as well.

It should be £15, but I so far have not received anything for a fouble DOR, neither for 2 service calls. They are very good at taking it, but as for giving? Don't know what is happening in production, this week I have had one venetian made 1m too long; 1 set of louvres where as well as one louvre missing, the other 15 were short by 30cm; and today a roller that is 1m too short. But I'm expected to go back in my own time and milage to sort out problems that aren't caused by me. And I'm hoping the customers don't complain, get a refund reducing my income even further. Maybe production should slow down a bit, and get it right, first time.

When you have done the call, just email the service centre telling them it is completed, and request they authorise a payment of £20. Worked for me!

What the hell is going on at the ranch. Fitted roof blinds today and four of them had either the end caps or middle rail covers cellotaped to the blind, one had not had the tentioner tightend so came loose and I finished up having to re cord it, which is pain in the a-se if you miss one of the master pleat loops .Tested on a jig ehh,Ithink not. Also wand not supplied. I think maybe its time to do sides and leave roof to the younger generation. Thats winge over I hope.

I also had a venetian 6 cm too short on the drop, and a vertical headrail for a 176cm Recess, measuring just over 176cm, although the label on top of it said 175cm, I told the service center that there was a problem as the magic resizing labels wernt working, you know the ones that adjust the blind to the size on the label, regardless of the size its actually made, they did see the joke ;D eventually.

They certainly wont be going for 3499, they'll leave them for us. Thats why they'll grow by 50% next year and we'll still have the chinless wonder pretending we've grown by 7% and didn't we do well, lets all have a brucie bonus, launch a new web site and compete with B&Q
