Anyone busy? We've gone VERY quiet in the Portsmouth area. I normally do 15 leads over Saturday and Sunday, I had 6 last weekend, and currently have 1 for this weekend - and only half the address! Others around here are the same, so I don't feel victimised. It can't all be down to the football.
In fact, leads are even deader than this forum, now all the name changing has stopped ;D ;D ;D

'Staff Member' refers to an adminsitrator or moderator on this forum, and has nothing to do with members of Hillary's staff. It was me on here at 9.30 and I've got enough to do coping with my own lack of leads without worrying about yours. I appreciate your sentiments but if you want to indulge in name calling then at least ensure that you pick the appropriate target.

Blindsfitter Note to Motters Might be a good idea not to call us mods "staff members". It could be a bit mis-leading. I wonder how many other advisors think it means staff from the Towers.....

But why not call yourselves "Administrator" or "Moderator" Natutrally, I and doubtless many other members of this Forum asumed it was a Head Office "watcher".... We are not all up to speed on the niceties of rank and position observed by that unique band of computer specialists. I feel a bit like my neighbour now...he was stopped this morning by the local "rozzers" because the back windows of his Discovery are shaded darker than the screen and the 2 front windows.!!! He got sent to a local garage where he had to spend over £300 getting the glass changed because its apparently illegal to drive in the UK from guess when??.. ...........JULY1st TODAY, ....with shaded glass!!! He was condescendingly let off a fine because the member of the "filth" in question thought it would be nice to let him off a fine stating that he couldnt be bothered with the paperwork as he finished shift in 3 minutes!! The point I am making is that too many folk set themselves to be our superiors in a pettyfogging way and enjoy slapping down nomal everyday folk carrying on a normal existence. I will now probably have to spend tonight or tomorrow night going round with him superglueing up the locks on rural police stations ( which are only open 5 hours a week anyway) , with him so that the costs to them will exceed the costs he incurred by a factor of 10....again!! Ho Hum Life goes on in Blairs new pettifogging alleged democracy!!!!....... Roll on the Revolution ! Blindsfitter

I normally recieve approx 14 - 16 leads a week , and up until last week it was quite the 'norm'.
Last week i was down to just 3 !!
Next week only 1 so far.
MMmmmm not looking too good is it! I suppose it may be down to the electric cut they had at colwick , or is it more involved?

Any one that watches dr who will know why your leads have dropped off. It is an attack by the Cybermen and Daleks. A joint onslaught against the people of the earth. They are all over the place. You wont get any more leads till after next Saturday when the Dr defeats them and restores power to the rightful owners. All true. ;D

Hello everyone I'm just digesting the new summer promotion and was wondering how you all felt about it? I must say I'm really "disappointed" that they've introduced the 3 for £99 vert promotion particularly after the awful time it caused me last year. The majority of customers I went to couldn't really afford £99, became extremely aggressive when they had no cream to choose from and complained bitterly when the price was bumped up due to 3.5" louvres and blind measured over specified width. I think I managed to sell up only a couple of customers and became extremely stressed as many customers were becoming abusive/aggressive towards me. As some of you may know, I'm a just a lady who sells by herself....any tips on how to handle abusive customers as I'm really not used to this........... most of my customers feel like my friends when I've finished the appointments. I found that my sales were much better when we had the 2 verts for set price regardless of size. Always sold top end £269 and managed most times to sell additional windows too as blinds were of good quality and colour. This was why I achieved for myself and Alan the trip to Windsor Races. We were promised last year that the 3 for £99 would not be reintroduced.........can't believe that I'm being asked to sell this again. We were always taught to go in with high price value blinds then always easier to come down in price. I find it extremely difficult to sell up after the customer has seen the advertising for 3 for £99 and I know I'll be demotivated within a few days of this promotion mainly due to the areas I'll be sent and the abuse I expect to receive. I find that the majority of these customers expects all blinds to be 3 for £99! Would love to know who these advisors are who have given their feed back on the 3 for £99. I've had to vent my concerns on here as I still don't know who my FSM is.............that is one of the reason's I'd like to know who it is too, to whoever posted a reply to me asking why I wanted a FSM. I'm really interested to hear your thoughts, both advisors and head office alike. Thanks Karen ) Advisor Westleah

I'm really interested to hear your thoughts, both advisors and head office alike. Thanks Karen ) Advisor Westleah Its just excess fabric that Hillary's can not sell so they are passing it on to us in the hope we can flog it off and make more room in the warehouse for a more viable fabric. It is not worth any adviser selling this stuff as the hassle that goes with it and the people you get to meet are more than the commission is worth. Do what I did, received it yesterday. In the bin today. Sorry but if they ask for the 3 for 99 I just say its all sold out, try and move them up and if not just move on to the next customer. Plays havoc with your lead to sale but hey. I'm not a charity and my kids need to eat. We need to make a living too you know. I like to toe the line and do what I can to help out but this is just taking the #$%^. We are fast approaching the best period of selling blinds. August through to December, we do not need these really low prices, leave those customers to shop at Argos and Aldi. We need the Marks and Spencer shoppers and we wont get them with these offers. Red

Gone are the days of quality offers quality product and quality service we are now in the hands of passionless accountants who care not of advisor's but of their own salaries . Gone are the days of being proud of our product we used to be the best we didn't use cr4p plastic on vert head rails we didn't use cr(p wood on Venetians why do we use cr$p i ask because if we sold a quality product we could go back to the days where selling two blinds for £229 in Jacquard was easy but instead we sell 3 for £99 Gone are the days when the people at the top were passionate about blinds remember the old faces have gone before the rot sets in We are all now under total control of those above us speak out and a fsm visit is on the way carry on and your leads dry up LET ME ASK THIS HOW MANY OF YOU VOCAL ONES HAVE HAD LEAD PROBLEMS LATELY THINK ON THAT ONE

I have been vocal in the hope of making Hillary's see where they are going wrong, I believe in black is black and not a darker shade of Grey, but can not say I have seen a drop in leads because of it. It is not in their interest to dry a good advisor's leads up as they are just hurting them selves. What is the point of stopping leads that an experienced , established adviser can service by passing them on to a totally new, unexperienced adviser that is not likely to stay more than a few months. Does not make sense. Red
