So we have new vertical book, and 3 tier price structure, we are on a new way forward. The special offers are in a seperate swatch and guess what ....
Yes 3 for 99 are still there, but the offer now includes 3 for 99 in a range of venetian and roller, but we mustn't actively sell these items.
No discounts should now be offered to close the sale on the new vertical range as we are now very competively priced. What about the 10% vouchers that abound out there.
Strange one, 10% Introductory Offer on selected "de-luxe" fabrics. On fabric designs that have been available for some time. Is this ethical?

Received prices etc this morning.
Not had a chance to have good look yet but noticed I don't have the card that goes into the presenter for verticals. Have they just picked on me or is everyone missing one ?

See what i mean. you quote that we are not to discount, yet, after attending a recent course, and being supplied with a how to handle "common objections" sheet, its says there quote up to 30 0r 40% off to win the order

You are correct!!!!
It states that NO discounts should be given on the new vertical range as the NEW pricing structure is competitive!!!! .... Well, we'll see!!!!!
On the Spring Offers sheet the offers relate to the separate fabric swatch for Conservatory fabric offers & 50% off selected range.
The only offers in the new book are for '2 for' on Clouds & Capri & the '3 to 5 for' offers on x8 fabrics & the x6 10% off's.
There is NO card for the front of the presenter.
Can I suggest you buy some sheets of stickers to print on to stick at the bottom of those samples that are on offer in the book!!!
e.g Stickers will have printed '2 for 1 special price' OR '2 for £175' etc & some with the '10% off'.
Keep it simple & base these on the 89mm louvres.
These stickers can work well on other product too!

Afraid it looks like Hillarys have shot themselves in the foot, yet again. We've all (or most) been dragged up to H/O for 20mm roof refresher and told "sell 20mm" it's better. Well I've always sold 20mm as I don't like the 25mm, but I won't be able to now. All the roof blind offers are based on 25mm. How on earth can you implore a sales force to sell one type of blind, and then promote another? Seems yet another example of different depts. doing their own thing with no co-ordination. And do you really want to fit 10 rect for under £1k or 8 shaped for £1295? Guess I'll have to forget about L shaped profile and doing a decent job, it'll be 1 face bracket each end and don't pull too tight and bow the rail. I can only think of 1 of my local competitors who offer 25mm, and I only offer it if the blinds are out of spec for 20mm.
Shame, because I really like the vertical blind concept, and it's nice to see the 3 for offers have gone up by a tenner.

Great to see the organisation. First day if new spring sale & I'm still waiting for my new vertical sample book. Par for the course I suppose.

With the new pricing on verticals, it'll be interesting to see how much discounting comes from the quote conversion dept. Presumably the "no silly prices - no need to discount" structure means no more 20-30% discounts from them.
MMMMMmmmm - we'll see!
Have to say, I've been a whole week without quoting clouds or any other 2/3 for offer

What's the conservatory offers? I've lost the sheet, instead of blossom/symphony/florence, I think it's now ripple/gloria/fleur but don't know which price order.
HELP please

Spring Promo leaflet says
"In the swatch you will find ....
Ripple and Fleur our new fabrics supporting the conservatory promotion of 5 blinds from £349."
then over the page it asks you to retain the swatches of Blossom, Symphony and Florence from the old presenter, in case the customer wishes to see them."
It doesn't make it very clear, to me anyway, but it looks like the Blossom is replaced by Ripple and Fleur, Blossom is not not on offer (although the fabric is still in the new presenter in fewer colours) and Symphony and Florence are as was. Except you don't try to sell them unless the customer asks specifically to see them???
Hope this is as clear as mud. Does anyone else concur.

HELP please Ripple = 5 blinds for £349 Fleur = 5 blinds for £399 But..... we can still do Florence, Blossom and Symphony if asked as some magazines are still showing them as on offer PS Gloria is half price with Wicker.... _________________________________________ Is anyone still using that silly special offer swatch thing? I gave up on the first day after trying to get a sample out to show customer. They are now in the back of my normal sample book... much simpler!

Just quoted nightsky roller blind on SAM, and it's still half price. Thought that finished mid Feb then finished again 21st March when the first date was overlooked.
Anyone else found this, or is it just me giving away blinds.
Not that I actually sold it. Quoted 1 window dancing bears £270, 2nd window nightsky £270 reduced to £135, both over 200cm wide. Customer was around 8 months pregnant, thought she was going to give birth there and then with the shock - local company quoted her £75 each

Just going through the new promotion guide and am at a complete loss to understand the strategy.
3/4/5 for offers - all the higher value ones have gone. Those of us who can sell up to these no longer have the option. I'm fortunate enough to be an area where I sell as much of the 3/£429 as the 3/£165. Looks like "previous promotion" option on SAM is going to get some use. 4 for 3 promotion - I actually asked for this type of offer, but I meant 4 blinds at list price, lowest priced free. We've got 4 blinds for the sale price of 3 - ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE
There is one way only at Hillarys - DOWN MARKET.
I'm going through a really good period at the moment, did £33k last month with an AOV of £542, already done £21k this month with AOV of £630. Hillarys obviously feel this is down to their great marketing and offers, but it's not - it's despite Hillarys, not due to.

gvm, i've not received details of the new promotions. doesn't sound like i'm missing much, i'll just carry on as before. i'm also doing fairly good business despite Hillarys efforts.

how can we sell up from these multi blind offers? they have cut the size down to 1.5m which is good but then put a stupid price of £5 for any blind over this size?why don't they just keep it at 1.5 and anything over this, is then priced at the normal price.
