My leads have dried up, yet when the 3 for £99 was running appointments looked good. l only sold 3 of the 3 for £99. We do not have that offer at the moment, but it does make me wonder if that offer was good for me. A foot in the door.................

So is 3 for £99 a good or a bad thing? ( in retrospect ). It has been a HUGE issue on this site and for the company. So what do we think now?
Personally I'm not in favour. It panders to the lowest common denominator in my area ( guerilla blinds etc. ).

So is 3 for £99 a good or a bad thing? ( in retrospect ). It has been a HUGE issue on this site and for the company. So what do we think now? Personally I'm not in favour. It panders to the lowest common denominator in my area ( guerilla blinds etc. ). I personally have found the 3 for £99 a good thing. It has increased my leads but also I might add, lowered my conversion level. It was designed to let you get a foot hold in the door and try to sell up. OK thats not always possible as some people have £99 fully impregnated on the brain and will not move. This is where your decision comes in. Do you take the order or not. If you do, then you get a little extra cash in your pocket and also stop your competitor from selling to them. If you don't then you get nothing and your competitor steps in. This has a knock on effect and you will loose more customers by not taking it by not being recommended. On the other hand, if you did sell them and get more recommendations, you may well be able to sell up to those customers. Nobody likes to make a loss and that goes for Hillary's too. It is just a tool to be used by us to the best of our ability. And I am not changing my horsey picture for anything. I laugh at it every time I see it. So there! Red

Stop talking about 3-£99 Ghetto Blinds especially while there are a few invisible users on again. Before you can say Jack S**t it will be back on again. Just recently had to do service calls on these ridiculous offers, again for no payment, now i know i am out of pocket with these. So Shhhh....... Hi Owl. I am one of the invisibubble users. I have a tabbed browser which is open all the time while I browse the stock market so I stay invisibubble on the closed tab so it does not appear I am on the advisors site 24/7. Wheras in reality I am. Or am I?. I am now not invisibubble Red

I've found that with the 3 for £99 offer I was very busy!
However! My order values were low & I was NOT seeing a typical Hillarys customer.
Now!!!,.... I am not so busy but my average order value has rocketed ... and ... I'm back to seeing proper customers again.
So what should be done for the best?
Well, maybe 3 for £99 SHOULD be a localised thing!
An offer like this may be better suited to the quiet periods like the 'Easter weekend' or for 'Summer holidays' or flexible enough to be 'thrown open' at short notice to 'kick start' things when we go really quiet?
Perhaps a compromise between the two extremes would be good!??
Looking back over the past few years we were always busy when we advertised the '2 for' deals with the three prices. ( Remember the Clouds, Capri & Jacquard Offers @ £130. £180 & £230 plus the upto 50% off offer etc? ).
Maybe it would be a good time to re-introduce the 'Local' phone numbers again as we suggested as an idea for the Advisor Forum?
In hindsight ... perhaps I am becoming more flexible with regard to these offers. We all hated the 'offers' largely because of the way they were 'shoved' down our throats at a time when Hillarys were not listening & at that time when SAM was so poorly introduced to us! It had all our 'backs up'.
We need to keep our options & our communication open with the 'suits' at H/O & we may even have to go back & admit that WE were wrong about '3 for £99' offers!!!!
Only 'time' will tell!!!!

3 for £99 was the biggest joke i have known in my since being with Hillary's and I cannot believe people are even considering it was a good idea, if your idea of work is trawling council estates tryin to flog sh1t blinds for £15 then I have seen an advert for betterware salespeople.
and a slightly different take on the bonus scheme for people we think have excelled, can we dock a weeks wages for the clown in production who sent me a roller with the half of the braid missing and also to the comedian who sent me a new delta 7 headrail damaged and of which i hold no spares.
do these people know how much it costs in time and money just to pop round and sort their mistakes.
It is an absolute joke we get charged for mismeasures when you consider the amount of f_ck ups we have to go out and fix free of charge for Hillarys.
and all shut up about 3 for 99 unless you want it running again just try harder with the sales calls you are given

Don't think we were wrong with the 3/£99 offer. Whilst I only sold 3 sets, like others, my conversion and order value dropped significantly. Again like others, I'm suddenly very short of leads but would rather sit at home not earning money than drive around ghetto land not earning any money. And as for taking customers from the competition, well they're welcome to this type of customer. Hands up all those who sold in to this type of customer and have since had a profitable second order from them!
Do agree strongly though with the lack of 2 for offers and lack of 2 for promotion. These could generally be sold up to capri or lace at least.

3 for £99 Is Dead and buried . There is NO Justification in EVER using it again . SELL to the leads you cover . DISCOUNT freely if that should be necessary - Make up your own '2 for' offers . I do all this and have good unit values ( average £87 per blind ) and excellent conversion ( 82% ) Do what YOU feel is BEST , we were always told its 'your business' and finally ..... its March 1st .... and we CAN still send in a paper order ! Who said that was all finished !!!! and all shut up about 3 for 99 unless you want it running again just try harder with the sales calls you are given

how about all the advisors that are pleading for 3 4 £99 to return, post what areas they sell in, and how many leads they are getting a week, then the advisors who do not need to sell sh1t quality blinds at a loss can exchange the same in formation so we can get an acurate picture of the areas that need axtra adveristment or better advisors.

I only did 2 and did convert many but only up to £200 and no way covered the waste of time the offer caused. Yep have less leads at the moment but doing higher value orders. Also agree with the need for more "2 for" fabrics.
