From yesterday meeting, I gather that the new book will show the fabrics in 3 price bands, Good, Better, Best, and all % discount promotions will be stopped. So no more 50% offs. Fabrics on promotion, will be displayed in a seperate swatch.

Fabrics on promotion, will be displayed in a separate swatch. I hope you're wrong, and there are still upto 50% discounts on verticals. B&Q tried the "everything low price - no sales" approach some years ago, and they had nothing to advertise. It nearly killed them. After trumpeting it as a new, no gimmicks approach, they had to quietly drop it and revert to artificially inflated prices so they could advertise big discount sales. Every blind company in this area advertises either 50% or 55% discounts. If we don't we - won't get the leads. And putting promotional fabrics in a separate swatch will stop most customers browsing the standard range
