Er ........ don't know how to put this - but I've been a whole day quoting without being asked for 3/£99!!!!!!!
Now is that good or bad? Does it mean it's losing it's impact and we need something even more eye catching?

For the first time in my 16 years with Hillarys, I've had 3 letters this week telling me customers have been passed to debt collection, and a local colleague has had 2 more.
[glow=red,2,300]Could this be the side effect of 3/£99 offers? [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Could this be the side effect of 3/£99 offers? [/glow] Oh dear.....not even £14 commission then??? I "sold up" to 2 clouds for £99. The customer saw the advert for 3 for £99 and complained. Hillarys have paid another advisor £20 to go out and measure and fit a FREE one for her....... so he gets £20 commission, I get £14 commission and the customer gets a lovely free blind. Thats if they pay of course..... I have fitted the 2 I sold, but the customer won't pay now that "they" have given her a free one. (Hillarys didn't bother to tell me..... the customer did when I was fitting - I rang customer servcies from the customers house to find it was true! ) Serious lack of communication.......

Joy, I think customer services are one of our biggest problems. Your customer agreed 2/£99 and signed a contract - end of story, but they seem to give customers anything just to get them off the phone. I've recently had a roof blind customer given over £300 back after around 4 months for a problem he admitted I warned him about, but the customer care team never ask us what's happened, they just take all the bullsh1t.
It would be interesting to know just how much they give away each year. must be well in to the £100,000s.

I was asked yesterday if I could do 3 sales calls outside of my area. I said I would go on Saturday (my day off) if they paid me £20 on top of any commission to cover petrol/time etc. They said no...... I thought I was doing them a favour! Yet they give discounts and free blinds at the drop of a hat!

I've had a few of these letters also. Trouble is - customers have paid by card and SAM showed that Head Office would take the payment but they never did. For the three letters I received this week I had also received the commission several weeks ago!

i will not sell 3 f0r 99 at all i will walk away without a sale if i cannot sell up the range ,2 visits for 14-00 is finacial suicide and i,m not ready to die yet even if the hillary,s board of directors are, what happened the stated company policy of putting all the cheap & nasty companies out of buisness, now we are leading them.

The latest adverts say 3 for £99 - on blinds up to 3m wide.
How on earth can you upsell from that. Went to a hovel with 2.5m wide windows. Next cheapest price was about £270. Bit of a difference from £99.
Completely irrational and stupid.
Notice on the latest self management reports that the target conversion rate has dropped from 75% to 50%.
Don't worry everyone, Hillarys KNOW that they are uncompetitive, as do most of the people we see!

Well at least Hillarys management stand a chance to hit their targets and can say how successful they've been. Never mind the company is earning less, losing customers and losing their best advisors. Management will probably get a bonus for hitting targets whilst we are working harder and earning less.
Sorry I haven't posted much lately but losing interest very fast as I have less & less confidence in the management of this company. BW
