Understand where greenpesto is coming from. We were all very eager to see some feedback from the meetings, especially from those who said they would present our views. All we've had is very positive "they are listening" comments, which is good, but I've absolutely no idea what was discussed. I don't want 16 pages of minutes, I'm not interested in who arrived first, second or last, and I don't care who had a cosy chat with who, but it would have been nice to see some bullet points of what was discussed, possibly with reactions such as - taken away for consideration/dismissed as not Hillarys way/lots of discussion but agreed not possible. This would have given the rest of us some idea of what had been discussed and what Hillarys are looking in to. G.V.M. every concievable point raised on this site, and more was raised, from the crap they call wood venetians, to costs in running sam, pathetic diary booking, previous customers halving original agent,, service call payment, and the rest.................... Give them chance, hopefully after tommorow (tues) when the directors have been made aware, we have been told we will be communicated to. We have not been brainwashed into saying nothing, or have any hidden agenda, etc, I can assure you. as my last few postings have intimated, get something sorted or I am off simple. I believe they will, so that is why I am giving them benefit of the doubt.

Opened the local paper yesterday and there's an advert for new advisors. No discussion with current advisors covering the area and lead to diary is within a a couple of days (few appointments after tuesday). It would have been nice to be told and had some form of discussion. If this is how we are still working then the meetings haven't changed the simplest of problems - FSMs talking to advisors. I have already had current advisors introduced to the area I cover without my knowledge. As I don't know what is happening I will have to safe guard my position by investigating other business opportunities to replace work that new advisors could be taking from me. Shame really as have good lead effect and low mis-measures and DORs plus do loads of service calls sorting out other advisor's problems. With the uncertainty of the number of leads I'll be receiving in the future and the cheaper market we seem to now be aiming for Hillarys is looking less and less attractive to work for.
rossk said:- "Before we place an advert your FSM should inform you of their intention. I know that this often isn't the case and this creates unnecessary bad feeling that can usually be avoided. One problem we do have though is that many recruitment sections span more than one paper. We need someone in town a, but the section covers town b and town c. This cannot be helped, but we should tell you when it is likely to happen." The paper only covers my area so that isn't the problem here.

Re- the car signs - I run a Renault espace , which is just great for the work ( and the kids !) BUT the vehicle signs are no good to me , they are magnetic and errrrr the car is plastic bodied ! What does the FSM suggest i do ? Use glue? Am left to ponder. These signs on metallic cars have a problem anyway. As recently informed by an FSM motorways & speed take their toll on these signs too. "Oops, sorry occifer, but I am just an advisor for Hillarys!" don't think it will cut any ice after having the ad plastered on their windscreen at er hum 70 mph, does anyone else? By the way as the subject is on new advisors it was well documented & points made at our Leeds meeting.. As Ross has kindly pointed out earlier, if your FSM is not being up front then let him know, then post the result back on here! We all know satisfied workers perform much better & produce more than disatisfied ones so it is in everyones interests if we all want to progress & earn not just a decent living but a d**n good one, as some of us older advisors have done in the past.

Hi there as an agent for Hillarys for the past 26 (yes 26 )years I feel I can speak with a little authority Yes Hillarys do put agents into your area without consultation, yes your earnings will go down and yes you do then have to try to pick up the pieces when they leave because they havnt achieved what they thought they would Its about time hillarys started to treat agents once again as the respected workers that we once were I could go on forever about how bad things have become , the only good thing is that since finding this website I realise that I am not alone and that it is not just me that is suffering At one time I was proud to say that I worked for Hillarys( a high class firm) but now oh how we have fallen
