The website seems to be still in development eg top left "Welcome to the Blinds Supermarket Content required" There's no info about company or an address that I can see. Also if you look at the T&Cs it has "Blinds-Supermarket.co.uk or We or Us or Our means Blinds-Supermarket whose registered address is " but the actually address isn't there. The web address www.blinds-supermarket.co.uk is registered to Hillarys Blinds Limited but registrants address is of Code Computer Love Ltd, that company designs websites and includes Hillarys and Web- blinds in their portfolio. Registered on 20-Apr-2006. Oh than I thought it simpler just to call the number and Hillarys answers !! ;D ;D Detective work done, it is Hillarys but why they are developing another name/site to sell blinds is anyones guess

On the subject of "they have done it again " I have just had a phone call from a previous customer asking about the job oppertunity with Hillarys advertised in our local paper It seems he has applied for an agency with Hillarys (as advertised). By the way I am now travelling up to 30 miles to try to keep a living wage and this customer lives within 2 miles of me . I thought that Hillarys would consult with existing agents before setting more on in the area? or am I wrong and this was not agreed on at the forums?

Dont worry mate--He will have applied for the £3,000 a month job--which certainly isn't your job--so what are you worried about? Seriously though-- they have an in-house policy of trying to improve in every area on current representation. Loyalty is an ugly word in Hillarys, whose ONLY loyalty is to the god-almighty bottom-line. We've all been there, Tell him a few home truths about the 3 4 99 and how much he will lose and watch the buggaire leggit!! Bear

Dont know if this is the new training regime ,but its very true anyway Special high intensive training
In order to assure the highest levels of quality workand productivity from employees,it will be our policy to keep all employees well trained through our program of Special High I ntensity Training (S.H.I.T.) we are trying to give employees more S.H.I.T. than anyone else. If you feel that you do not receive your share of S.H.I.T. on the job please see you manager. You will be immediately placed at the top of the S.h.i.t. list and our managers are especially skilled at seeing that you get all the S.H.I.T. you can handle. Employees who dont take S.H.I.T. will be placed in Departmental Employee Evaluation Programs,(D.E.E.P.S.H.I.T.) Those who fail to take D.E.E.P.S.H.I.T. seriously will have to go to Employee Attitude Training (E.A.T.S.H.I.T.) Since our managers took S.H.I.T. before they were promoted they dont have to do S.H.I.T. anymore, and are full of S.H.I.T. already!
If you are full of S.H.I.T. already ,you may be interested in job training others. We can add you name to our Basic Understanding Lecture List ( B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T.) those who are full of B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. will get S.H.I.T. jobs and can apply for promotion to Director of Intensity Programs (D.I.P.S.H.I.T.) If you have any further questions please direct them to ourHead of training , Special High I ntensity Training (H.O.T.S.H.I.T.)

Supermarket blinds!!!Just done a little caculation on wooden venitians. My lounge window is 135w x 149d. A butternut wooden ven would normally be charged out at £171...yeh. Now I find I can get the identical blind on this 'New Site' for £114!!! Oh and if you take off my commision (£25 (wow!)) it still wouldn't be that low. Take into account that I am not allowed to discount wooden venitians how can I possibly compete. It's easy...I'll get the customer to order from Supermarket Blinds and charge £50 to fit them. I'm still giving the customer a discount and I've just doubled my commission!

SORRY IF THIS IS ON THE WRONG THREAD I have just been told by my fsm that agents that dont do the cons roof blinds are now required to do the estimates and that we will be paid the finders fee again. Can any one else remember being told that anything to do with conservatory roofs had to go to a specialist? and that indeed if it was a roof and walls job then the whole order had to be done by specialists? My fsm says that this was never the case and I am mistaken

My understanding was that anyone who didn't do roofs could sell them and get a 5% finders fee. To qualify for that, you had to actually take the order, fill in the forms, take deposit and complete the credit application form if required. If you just said "about £800, I'll send the specialist round" you don't get anything. It was announced last year that Craig Edwards was heading up a new specialist division, so maybe things are about to change

My fsm says that this was never the case and I am mistaken when the 6 slot appt. idea was introduced then as soon as conservatory was mentioned by customer they were supposed to be dealt with by specailists at call centre etc through to cons trained agents, as usual when put into practice in the real world things changed rapidly

My fsm says that this was never the case and I am mistaken Your FSM is a fool ! Has it been asleep for the last 12-18 months . I used to do the 'referals' , it was a pain to get a 'specialist' to follow them through ( excuses, such as too far to travel , more hassle if any D/O/R's etc etc - i,m ill this week - my clutch has gorn.... etc etc - yawn! ) . So i was glad that 'specialists' had to attend the leads from the begining , if the word CONSERVATORY was mentioned when customer rang in to book a sales appt. In reality i lost a lot of business through subsequent lack of 'wall' blinds (verts mostly) I do not wish to be a 'specialist' myself , i think the commission for that time consuming work is far too low! Now with so many new agents perhaps the goal posts are moving again . The un-written law - never trust hillarys management , especially FSM's . Don't get mad - get even ! You know it makes sense.
