You are all missing the point.....!!!!!!!!!! The donated £1 is to OUR advantage...... It not to do Hillarys, or their staff any favours!!! It's so that they do US favours!!!! Am I right Red? Joy In a way, yes you are right. What got me on to this was how much everyone was praising Dawn in commisions and others in the past, but no recognition apart from a mention on here. There is no greater incentive than cash, after all, thats what we are all here for. Red

There is no greater incentive than cash!! ?? It's funny that Hillarys didn't see that when they made my Bonus near impossible to hit. Great idea but on principle .... no thanks ... count me out on this one just for the moment!!! I may change my mind at a later date.

Great idea but on principle .... no thanks ... count me out on this one just for the moment!!! I may change my mind at a later date. I too lost my bonus, after being promised the earth. I also lost half my postcode areas and went down from £25k to only around £12k and all that after giving up a full time job. I had more to loose than most. I battled on. We changed our lifestyle. I was very bitter and still am too a point, but I wish to go forward with Hillary's. I can stay bitter and twisted, not in my make up. I can leave and get another job, but I love doing this job and I am trying, like others to make it a worth while job. I feel the present management were out of touch with us but are now trying to rectify this. Give it 1 year, if things are no better then I would be one of the first to hold my hand up and say, "you were right". Red

Sorry Red but not sure about this one. I am a great believer in rewarding extra effort but with care as it can be counter productive. I agree with the suggestion that Hillarys should be responsible for rewarding staff/departments. How about all agents having an in-put with the depts we all have contact with as has been suggested. .Like most of us we have certain individuals who are extra helpful and we would like to show appreciation to. Maybe we can find another way,I certainly dont mind contributing as long as it is fair.
Before retiring I was involved for a number of years with an inhouse quality improvement process which was well thought out and worked well by havind an employee or dept of the month and it made a lot of difference and in some sections became quite competitve. It did have financial reward. Just a suggestion MM

I think Hillarys aready have an EMPOYEE OF THE MONTH scheme. I think it involves extra holiday or money plus a premium private parking space for the month.

Have any of you thought about what happened to the last person who tried to help us - BEZBOZNY?
Cash, or employee of the month, nominated by advisors might just be the kiss of death for the recipients.
Having said that, I like the idea of regular, positive feedback. My concern would be for those who can influence our working lives, but who we never come in to contact with. If we don't know who they are, we can't nominate them, and then the dis-incentive kicks in - "it's alright for them, they get rewarded - don't know why I bother!"
If we get ebay style rating, I'd like to nominate the idiot who knowingly sent me to a half built extension Saturday. What's the most negative rating we can give?

I know she got it at least once.

Dont supose you know the criterion do you, maybe its an idea for Red to consider linking to What say you Red mm There are quite a few good ideas coming forward lately. All will be considered. I still need some sort of feedback from head office to see if we can formulate some sort of ideas or whether its a no goer. Red

The whole thing could be based on a departmental vote. One positive vote and one negative vote. A scheme I was in once gave a monthly bonus for reaching a certain level. Each department was in effect a team. I remember once, being shift supervisor having to take one lad to one side and having to give him an ultimatum as he was always letting our department down for the bonus, only him, and all the others were getting fed up of him. It worked. He pulled his finger out and we got the bonus, which was around £50 each and I am going back about 15 years, so it was a lot of money he was loosing us. If he had not improved he would have been out, and not by the companies doing but by his own work mates. Red

GVM!!!
Three questions:
1. What happened to BEZBOZNY? (Alive and well - and logging in under another name I imagine - JOY)
2. Sharon from Service Support ... who gave 'IT' to her?
3. Why would I go all the way to Nottingham just to park my car?

I'm sorry.. but i cant believe that this forum has just spent most of the weekend trying to find a way to motivate the staff at Hillarys. Honestly. What next, shall we offer our services to help them through their day, maybe we could reduce our diaries to give time to support them. What a few good sugestions Owl. You see, when you put your mind to it you can come up with things. ;D Red
