Hi to you all! I am a new advisor, just started beginning of October. I need some help and advise. Where can I get a measuring stick cheaper than at Head Office? Where can I get somebody to help me with my first fitting (venetians baywindow). I heard today that my FSM is no longer an employee of Hillarys and I am truly devastated!!!! He was the only person that was of any help so far and I loved working with him. You will never get anyone else as positive as he is!! But,................... I still need somebody to help with that installation, or can you tell me who to contact? If you do get a fitter, how much is the going rate to p[ay per blind? Pleeeeeaaase !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need some help here!

I need some help here! You will get a very mixed response to your appeal for help ! Firstly, you don't even state which part of the country you are in, so nobody is going to know whether they can help or not. Secondly, many will say that you must have done the training at Nottingham, so what is your problem ? Thirdly, if (through no fault of yours) you have been recruited in an area where you are taking business from established advisors, you will get very short shrift from them ! There are some of us out there who co-operate whenever we can, and provided that we are not undermining ourselves in the process, but your best bet is to talk to your 'new' FSM, or to Service Support, and ask them to recommend a local experienced advisor for a 'buddy' arrangement. Good luck, and please visit the forum regularly and let us know how you are getting on. Don't be put off by some of the negativity - we all have issues with Hillarys but most of us still knock customer's doors with a smile on our faces.

Hi advisorc welcome to Hillarys. There is some negativity on here but your post for help is really what the forum should be all about plus lively constructive discussion.
If you PM me I'll help if you live near or if not happy to give advice on the phone.

I need some help here! is this for real......................... Yeh this is for real!! Forgot to mention that I am a woman! Surprising reactions that you get..... I did a wee bit of modifying on my profile, so that certain people won't complain. On a lighter note a comparison between different woman: Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. Terry had married a woman from America , and bragged that he had told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning that needed done at their house. He said that it took a couple days but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were all washed and put away. Bob had married a woman from Australia.. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. He told them that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table. The third man, Tony, had married a South African girl. He boasted that he told her that her duties were to keep the house clean, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry done and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye. Enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher and washing machine, and call garden services. God Bless South African women!!!! Eat your hearts out guys!!

Nice place South Africa--went there on duty about 20 yrs ago.
i am reminded of it everytime I go down the pub for a Guinness
All black with a little bit of white on top.
Now its changed a lot and the economic forecasters of the 1970's and 1980's are proven to be right.
Western European life has changed for ever now that the poor and hungry from Eastern Europe and Africa have come West and North....Hey Ho!! Bear

Quote form BF You do realise that by sending in a months notice letter you have effectively put a stop on your commission payments--if any--until at least a month after you leave. Less clawbacks and anyhting else they can dream up!!!!!!!
BF __________________________________________-
I have only a few orders I'm due commission on. I also have £400 in cash from the last order fitted. To save Hillarys the hassle of sending me my last commission I will deduct all commission due from the £400 before I send it to them.
............'cos I'm thoughtful like that! ;D Another quote Not sure who's in the bubble but whilst I'm doing well working for Hillarys in an open manner and can sort out disagreements by discussion I will stay with them. If I can't sort out any disagreements, particularly any non-payment, then I will leave. Life is simple, enjoy
I couldn't get it sorted..... so I left! That simple! ;D
