If you go to the oher site you could look up Paul Whiting ex agent Fairview who might just be selling a measuring stick..
If you measured the bay window correctly then fitting should not be a problem . did you use 5" sff or usb bracket/s when measuring?, is it a square bay or angeld bay window,? what type of blind , Vertical/ venetian? why..

It is a angled bay window, topfix no usb brackets. Venetian blinds. Why? I still can't measure a curved rail and that was the only other option I was able to give them. Windows have handles 4,5cm so I measured 4,5cm from window frame. Question is, did I mesasured the bay window correctly. I will only know when blinds arrived!!!!! That was only my 3rd appointment and that is the main reason I am so concerned!!!! Any tips on fitting the blinds?

Nice place South Africa--went there on duty about 20 yrs ago. i am reminded of it everytime I go down the pub for a Guinness All black with a little bit of white on top. Now its changed a lot and the economic forecasters of the 1970's and 1980's are proven to be right. Western European life has changed for ever now that the poor and hungry from Eastern Europe and Africa have come West and North....Hey Ho!! Bear Only one small problem, as you would not to be aware of, the poor and hungry can't afford to come here!! We are here because we [glow=red,2,300] want [/glow]to work and we can do the work better and faster than the average European! For mentioning Winnie Mandela, obviously you see it only from one side, we've seen it, experienced it, not worth mentioning!! The reason why I am on the forum is not to compare countries and bantering other people! I really need some advise and help. So far I had a couple of replies, thanx guys, really appreciated! I really can't believe that some of the posts is so negative. It was everyone's own choice to start working with Hillarys!!

Best way to measure aluminium venetians in a bay with PvC-u windows with handles that stick in to the room is to do the following:
Use 2 x 89mm ( 3.5" ) f/fix verticals brackets. this will give you the distance to the front of the h/rails where they touch. It is also the same size as a UEB with a Venetians bracket fitted but without the extension piece fitted. Mark off at the edge of the bracket in line to where they meet at the front. To measure the side blinds to the wall or recess rest one bracket along the back edge of the where the verts h/rail would rest into the bracket. Slide the other across until you touch the wall/obstruction. Mark off & measure.
For the drop, measure accurately, but I find that it is better to round up to the nearest whole number or half number & to base it on the longer drop in a bay rather than the shortest as per Hillarys best practice.
Hope this helps
