hi Paul Would it be worthwhile sending you a blank 1 gig card to add the utility and would this mean that there would be no need to remove if you wanted to add other progs such as a navigator ?

MM mendipmagpie, Yes you could do that. Better, if you have set up activesync on your pc, you can copy the files off the 256 Storage card onto your PC and then back onto the 1 Gig card. If you send the card to us make sure that you put a note in.

Probably the brightness level has 'adjusted itself' happend to me a couple of times.
From the STart Menu, Goto Settings, System, and choose Backlight, and check the Brightness tab. Most likely the 'On Power' setting is at the bottom of the slider, simply move it to the top.
Cheers

Learned a valuable lesson today.... Never ever put a self generated lead into SAM. Put it in your calender and only when you actually get there do it as a order in SAM.
Reason. A customer rang me about a week ago to book an appointment which I put in as a self gen lead. She rang me direct to say she could not make it. Will diary booking take it out...... Not on your life, only if customer rings direct to them will it come out and not on my say so. I booked the bloody thing in the first place. Makes a complete mockery of monthly figures. And while I am at it. Why is it so d**n hard to get them to change postcodes for a certain day if you are slack in one area but not another. It can only be done if you contact your fsm and he produces a new spreadsheet which he then sends to them who then change your postcodes and alter everything else in your diary at the same time which you then have to ring them to find out why some of your days have been removed and others have no postcodes in at all on which you are told you will have to contact your fsm to send us another spreadsheet and so on and so on. All the time this is going on customers lead to diary grows bigger. Then you are told your lead time is too long and we need to get it down. There are a few people in diary maintenance I would trust with my life. Julia is one of them, Will another but sadly Will left last week. SAM is an abbreviation for Stupid Automated Machinery.
A nice cup of coffee and some Valium will do nicely now. Why do I always seem to be wound up at the end of the day?

Red, self gen leads don't count as lead when calculating lead effect, even when entered in to diary. Although it shows as the same on SAM, diary maintenance assure me they use a different code which identifies it as such. Not sure, but think this only works if booked through DM, not through call centre.

My last post got me thinking. Here is a little competition. Winner gets a 10% voucher of your next blinds order. ;D
Question. WHAT DOES S.A.M. really stand for ?.
Its just a bit of fun. Novel answers only, and no swear words.
