Hi All,
If anyone could answer the following it would be much appreciated. ;D
Is there a minimum width for awnings ?
Can a third awning be attached to the existing power cable & sun/wind sensor (two already fitted by us)
Do I add a surcharge if awning to be fitted is for upstairs window.
And, if customer wants programmable timer for third awning will it also be able to control the other two that were fitted in January.
Thank-you in advance.
Glen

Glen I think 2.5mt is the minimum width for conventional awnings, as the width has to be 0.5mt wider than the projection, and you really wouldn't want less than 2.0mt projection. Shadewell do have a "little big one" awning where the width can actually be less than the projection, so I suggest you ask specialist support, but you'll need to say what width & projection you want. I believe an awning pulls around 3amps, and is fused 5amp, so in theory you could run 3 from 1 plug. You can also run 3 (may even be 4) from 1 controller, but if the others are Centurion awnings there may be a reluctance to tie a Shadewell awning to it. They're all under Hillarys warranty, but in the event of a service call, Centurion may take issue. No surcharge for first floor installation. Hope that helps Just noticed, other 2 fitted January so would be Shadewell, so again ask specialist support

Has anyone done a goalpost awning yet? Do they look decent or bit of an eyesore? I'm thinking of putting one on my lower lawn to cover part of the swimming pool, give the kids some shade when they're swimming, but I don't want something that'll look naff. Can we do 3.5mt or even 4mt projection on a goalpost? Might help keep some of the leaves out and stop bunging up the filters as well.

Went to a customer last week, from the Ideal Home Show. She wanted a 7.5mt awning and 3 canopies, but .......................
the canopies have to be motorised with sun and wind so they operate when she out.
Quoted £7.5k, and in same order as others, so in with a shout. What it is to have money eh?
