So what do you think of the latest Sales Talk Mag/Brochure/Leaflet thingy? ? Isn't 'Looking Back, Looking Forward' something you do just before you disappear up your own arse? Why does the tone of these JR letters STILL sound like 'Spin'? Do we really need to see his grinning 'Mug' on every cover of the Mag/Brochure/Leaflet thingy? If the picture was a 'scratch & sniff' I'd bet that you'd smell a huge 'ego' along with whiffs of 'bullsh1t'!!!! So we are number 1 are we? ... More by 'Luck' than 'Judgment' I feel!!! A new wooden venetian supplier from China eh?I bet that it'll be the same one as last time but in a different box whilst Sillarys think we'll not notice!!!! Forum update on page 2!OK! A few good points there but I think that who ever calculated the DOR averages really needs to go to SpecSavers!!!! A.D.S. .... WHAT???!!! Another rename for an original 'Balls up'? Also ... Who ate all the pies???Back pageHoneycomb pleateds - excellent news ... just watch the prices though & the time slots being changed to sell them going from 6 to 12!!!! - Someone at H/O is bound to suggest it!!!!!!Roman Blinds - Hope they are better than the current range!!!! Rollers - same as Romans really, but I do hope they match the verticals & pleateds as we asked!!! Training Academy - Uuuummmn!!! - OK but what a big fancy name for a training centre?!! Shutters - Don't give a sh1t!!! .... I don't sell them!!!!! Am I fair & accurate ... or NOT???

You missed one, GP - probably because it's an omission.
Whatever happened to the next phase of the points from the advisors meetings? You know the ones, something about variable rates of commission and incentives to reward good advisors. And I don't mean trips to watch a crappy football match.
And I hit E1000 today ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually Greenpesto I don't think you're being fair at all........in fact you're being very rude and I really take exception to some of your more personal comments/attacks.............I know you like nothing better than a moan but I feel you've gone too far this time! What are the moderators going to do about it?
No wonder the management at Hillarys don't take this site seriously with comments like yours..........would you put them in under your real name..........I doubt it!

Well said Karen, I know we all like a moan, cricky, my leads are well down, 3 so far this week, none today and none tomorrow, but then this is the local trades fortnight, traditional holiday time, but some comments are getting very liableist. One point I picked up on is that the FSM have to agree removal of availability and post-codes from our diary. Well up to now is I need a day or part of a day taken out Diary support have just done it. Are we now having to apply for leave from our FSM? And shutters, 822 orders from 2340 leads, not so hot on conversion rates then. Maybe they should start offering 3 for 99.

I can see the point of getting FSM approval to remove postcodes from your diary as these would have been agreed with them. But as for getting FSM approval to remove availability, what a load of b*llocks. I am self employed and if I want a day off I will take it. If Hillarys want to dictate to me when I will work then they can employ me and pay me a salary (not that I would accept it).

Aren't we self-employed?

I think this is just another misunderstanding, and its all a matter of degree. If we need a few hours out for personal reasons, or a day off for whatever, then Diary Maintenance will add / change / remove avaiability as they have always done. If we need to cancel availability for an extended period (holidays) then quite right that it should be done through the FSM - we're not asking permission but obviously they need to know and perhaps plan suitable cover. And if we want to make a substantial change to our general pattern of availability with longer term implications - for example changing postcodes, or going part time because of other commitments- then again it needs to be done through the FSM for similar reasons. I don't think the comment in Sales Talk is changing anything - it just reads a little ambiguously.

So wheres IS the follow up on the Forum Meetings at the beginning of this year then Mr R?? PROMISES PROMISES and where is the STOLEN COMMISSION? ?? HERETICUS and the rest of you---how much longer are you going to allow this bunch of blatant thieves tramp all over you (and us) ? I TAKE IT THEY ARE ASSUMING THE HIGH GROUND AND DONT WANT TO EVEN DISCUSS THE MATTER OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT EVER HAPPENED........?? I now assume that not even anyone who was on the Forums and trumpeted so long and loud that it was all going to improve--- "GIVE THEM TIME THERES A LOT TO DO" cares any more and probably has a second agency fitting blinds for another Company, Well, sorry, but you've had your time and what have we got back that was stolen from us?? ABSOLUTELY SOD ALL AND THE THIEVING GOES ON ONLY THIS TIME ITS DRIP DRIP DRIP BY WAY OF US LOSING MONEY ON THE 3 FOR £99 --no way can any fitter may a cent and even cover costs with that?? And they ACTIVELY get CLG to promote it to the Punters!!!! My only lead today was at 09.00 am ( be punctual it said and I was !) was shown the whole vertical book---priced her up 3 verts at 279.00 and she bricked herself--- "No way Young man--Dont try to get shifty with me--They told me on the fone its 3 for £99" Pointing out that it was selected fabric she lost the rattle and threw me out and ended saying she would call the Trading Standards or the Police!!!!!... Sorry Hillarys either you or I have lost the plot and I don't think its me--honest!!! Good thing I have a second line of income to fallback on--- Am I alone in my despondency at seeing a once cracking job, now flushed down the pan by a shower of "adviser-abusers"? Comment please anyone?? Blindsfitter

Comment please anyone?? Blindsfitter No Blindsfitter, you have not lost the plot. Hillary's defiantly have. I have had my fair share of these 3 for 99 customers and waste of time leads to the point of the only decent sales I am doing are the ones ringing me direct. If it were not for those people I would be on a massive loss now. I am so cheesed off with all the running around for nothing I have closed my diary until August 15th when I come back from my holls. Mind you it is pretty full for the next week anyway so haven't really lost that many spaces. Trouble is, how many of the ones already booked in are going to be 3 for 99 no hoper's and waste of time leads. Hillary's are not listening the the adviser network. I can not for the life of me work out why not. I usually remain fairly positive but at the moment I could not be more down with the absolute tat that is going into my diary. I get the impression that if someone rang in for a blind for a budgie cage they would book them in. Looking backwards, looking forwards. Pity they did not look right and left, they might have seen the express train coming. Red

Red I connot agree with you more 3 for 99 if anyone else says to me thats what I want I will chin them The fabrics are useless colour wise and I am sick of being told I am supposed to sell up!!! but if people are attracted by 3for 99 they are NOT interested in paying £200+. I cannot stand this cr@p much longer.

I cannot stand this cr@p much longer. Recently lost a big pleated order to Appeal. Customer rang to tell the good news, but said the Appeal guy told him many sales and technical people have moved from Thomas Sanderson to Appeal, because they don't like the way Sandersons are going, since being taken over. So 2 things to come to terms with .......... 1) What we, and Sandersons, are experiencing is typical of when family run, specialist product businesses are taken over by professional money men. 2) Hoping the next buy out is better is somewhat optimistic
