Hereticus, I think you may have misunderstood Bear's posting about FSM's . I think he was saying it was the awnings trainer's opinion that that was the FSM's job.(not necessarily his own FSM's opinion) I was also at a training session recently and got the impression that the trainers were toeing a party line.

I'm still here Russ, just got back from Spain and trying to catch up on forum.
Seems to be a lot of "bitchiness" since I went away. If we cant keep it together then we've got no hope. As Hereticus said, nothing is going to happen overnight, just have some patience. The meetings were very positive and have been included on the agenda for the next round of team meetings. This is the start of a step in the right direction.

Pyramid...thanks for that clarification. Our local Awnings training session (today, actually) was taken by our FSM as trainer, so I assumed (obviously wrongly) that that was the norm.
If I have hacked off an FSM then sorry, nothing personal because I don't know you anyway, but whoever made those remarks to Blind Scout in Fife is totally out of order and any 'party line' that they thought they were following is so outmoded that they should engage their brain before opening their mouth.
We are witnessing the dawning of a new era in our relationship between company and advisors, but some people (on both sides) are obviously not heeding the wind of change (hey, two cliches in one sentence !).

I don't mean to be to negative, all I am doing is pointing out the reality of certain situations, which get us all down. Especially the unnecessary, due to poor management, and someone on the factory floor not going to the opticians for a check up!
On a more positive note, leads in my area are quite high (even if the quality of them has dropped) oops!
Generally business is good and order value high and most of us make a decent living out of it all.
I'm afraid its human nature to respond the way most of us do. If the "old chestnuts" can finally be cracked, and someone get a grip on the decline of woodens, things would be certainly looking up.
However....." dawn of a new era" is a bit optimistic hereticus.

First meeting is tomorrow (21st) in Lincolnshire, then rolling out through the country over the next three weeks (mine's on 1 March).
Looking forward to feedback through this forum but EVERYBODY, PLEASE do take the opportunity to point out to your local team the major part played by this forum in submitting our frustrations and ideas to management, and do encourage everyone to join us or, if already members, to sign on and to post more often. This is a big opportunity to get our membership up, and to emphasise what we have already achieved.
Hope to see a few new members every day for the next three weeks, and perhaps push over the 500 mark (or even 600).
