My God Just read the latest posts and are we full of gloo n doom IS IT REALLY TIME TO SLASH THE WRISTS? . Sorry folks but we have come a long in the last few weeks and I recon a few more wont do any hurt. Got the latest mailer today and at least we now know who is responsible for what at the top,we now all have the e-mail addressess so if things continue to go pear shaped we know who to mail. Re next Team meetings This will be the time to judge how much notice has been taken of all our concerns get your pens ready and take plenty of notes then we have something to discuss it might just surprise us ,that would be nice wouldnt it. Just for the record I am agent HOMELEA with eleven years service so I have experienced all the problems that you have . I have like most had some serious disagreements with those above but generaly manage to sort them out one way or another. Come on folks give it a little longer if it dont work we will no doubt find an alternative. There see its easy to be positive . MM

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE PUT SOME POSITIVE FEED INTO THIS BOARD. I am getting very depressed reading some of the totally negative feedback. Someone, please . Anyone. Help. It seems the more positive among st us are getting a bit fed up posting replies to the more negative and I may join them soon. In the words of the Monty Python film "Always look on the bright side of life" Yes, I know the next line is, Lifes a piece of S@"t when you look at it, but I prefer to ignore that line and still think its the funniest film ever. So cheer up everyone.

Red, the new, one piece brown cord weight for verticals is very nice. And I like the simplied awning range. And I like being able to offer 24 months IFCO on roof blinds
How's that for positive?

Are you sure thats positive and not negative? and if it were negative would you be positive it was negative or not sure? I am sure you are trying to be positive but not sure a little negativity may be in there also. Of that I am positive! I think. I used to be very decisive but now I am not so sure. Red ;D

I'm positive it was positive. It positively wasn't negative, and my negativity has positively been replaced with indifference. It is positively possible that some negativity crept in to my positive posting without me being aware that my positive intentions were negated by a sub conscience negativity caused by reading too many negative postings.

Cherokee, as an advisor with 12 years behind me I have seen all of this before. Hillarys are constantly going through phases of one sort or another. They cannot survive on 3 4 99 and know it. They like any large firm need the jam on their bread to ensure profitability. The people who put jam on their bread are the experienced advisors and without them they will surely be in trouble. The 3 4 99 I believe was purely to increase the leads and as any sales organisation with good sales people will tell you get me in front of punters and I will give you profitable business. There has always been a high turnover of sales people in any sales organisation and this is the way to find the people who have the ability to bring in the business which brings us back to the experienced advisor, but we are only good for Hillarys if we toe the line to a certain extent and do not rock the boat too much. This is not to say that I agree with current thinking being put forward by some of the management but at the end of the day it is suicide for Hillarys to upset us too much. If 400 advisors packed up tommorrow Hillarys would suffer severly because they would be unable to replace them quickly enough to prevent serious damage. We all must hope that common sense prevails and that management comes up with a solution that brings prosperity to all concerned.

Red, know what you mean. I've looked at the posts for last few days and also had a meeting with my FSM. This is how I feel:-
1) Positive - Great that we have had the meetings with management, it is a step forward and we do have to be patient as large companies can't just respond without considering all implications (I have been in both director and senior management rolls) 2) Positive - Thanks to advisors who were involved in meetings for your time and effort. It's nice to hear how positive you feel about the meetings but do have empathy for all the other advisors who have just been receiving snippets of information from this forum and no information from the company other than we'll be telling you later. 3) Positive - John Risman has openly (8th Feb letter in with this weeks Update) acknowledge that not all is well with the "leadership team at head office" and announced senior management changes. 4) Negative but hopeful - I'm disappointed that the company has not at least highlight some issues that they are determined to resolve in due course, all that is needed is news that they are committed to resolve/improve an issue. 5) Fact - The company will not advertise this forum, would you if you ran the company ? 6) Positive but concerned expectations may not be met - Nice to hear that at the next Team Meeting will be "Taking a detailed look at the items raised at the Advisor Feedback Forum and updating you on our plans to take your suggestions forward". I've got to wait a month for meeting therefore after 2 months my expectations are that there will be firm plans announced. It's VERY POSITIVE that the company has committed to detailing items raised and their plans therefore I'm happy to wait another month but by this time I will be expecting more than just waffle and promises. 7) Positive - I will not be moaning on this forum (well will try not to) about all the issues already aired until after the Team Meeting. May I just mentioned that I read a posting saying we are in danger of repeating our moans and any new members should look though old postings to see what has been discussed before - the nature of forums is that items are repeated (particularly if not been resolved), please do not discourage new members from posting.
In conclusion it's noticeable that postings have reduced and I think that is a sign that most of us are waiting for company announcements before "moaning anymore" - This is a positive in itself, our issues have been presented and it's now for the company to demonstrate how/if they are going to resolve these issues.

Just a little positive tip. I am sure you all get sore fingers and thumbs from pushing the ballast chain on to the weights on verticals. I was watching my fitter tonight and he was moaning about pushing them on and how tight some of them are. Don't push them on said I, slide them on over the top. They go on much easier. He tried it and presto, got them done much quicker and no more sore fingers. Try it and see. Red

And another tip. If you have measured the verticals a little too short then use two top fit brackets back to back and the upper one will act as a spring and you can tighten it or loosen it as much as you like. Red

And yet another tip. If you fit a curved rail in to a bay and there is a lip to overcome, just use a small piece of white tubing or plumbing pipe between the lintle and the bracket. It looks quite good as well. Red

Like as I posted a couple of days ago when everyone ( almost) wanted to bite my head off, I still mainatin that the willingness at Colwick to express change to meet forum generated issues is still minimal.
I agree with nonails and dodgybracket that the present management have to be fully aware that they now have one last chance to make a genuine improvement.

Just remember the pure look of pleasure on the customers face , and the kind words that mean so much when a decent product is installed properly in that persons home, and you get the thanks for it .
Well it happened again to me today ! I drove away pleased as punch , 2 Fancy Rollers , 45 mins to fit them , and looking forward to £36 commission.
