i will try to fight the cause of training "the advisors we already have "in the art of self generating leads it amazes me how many advisors are left alone untrained and ill advised how to create a succesful business because if we created more of our own leads we wouldnt need to rely on h\o as much thus making us LESS dependant on leads rolling in i feel if we produce a better sales manual NOT the sales habits one created by succesful agents for agents we could do more than the current HILLARYS WAY training li feel they need to listen from us at the sharp end not h\o trainers coming out with sale clinching phrases like ::)NICE DAY TO BUY A BLIND if it wasnt for my self generation i would have been dead in the water years ago through bad advertising more agents and downturn in market i used to get 35 leads a week and now get about 10 but produce the same of my own if we helped the agents we have more then there would be less need to keep introducing new agents into the field and h\o and the agents would be happy i am always saddened and amazed how many agents who i speak to or email me that are not aware how too self generate or simple stuff like getting silicone spray off of h\o my idea would be for agent trainers to go around with low performers and new agents NOT a fsm because lets be honest when a fsm comes out with you its like being followed by a police car and i really mean no offence to my fsm but agents know how the real world works hope to have some comments on this as its my passion and hate too see people unacheive through neglect ;D

having read through this, i dont think i can add anything that hasnt already been said. however i fitted a blind for a customer today who asked where hillarys are going with this 3 for 99 malarky (his words not mine), he said that hed always dealt with hillarys because he felt they were a quality product, but seeing those kind of adverts had made him think twice about placing an order with us.......so how many potential good spending customers have been put off by this?

Bobby - re your reply 59 today re offsetting DOR fines against Hillarys errors - you on the right track but too generous! I strongly believe we should aim for payment for sorting out their errors only resorting to your solution as a verylast resort.

Have only just learned about this forum, and have registered tonight. Yes, I'm one of the advisors invited to the Leeds meeting - 11 years with Hillarys, basically very happy but I recognise there are some significant problems. Definitely NOT a yes man, but well able to see both sides of a discussion. Looking forward to it being constructive; it seems to me that it has been long overdue and with the right attitude from BOTH sides, should be a positive step forward. I'll be taking notes!

there are still too many silent watchers its easy to see who you are by checking the members list those that have not posted think about this the forum was set up for the likes of you and me to have a voice and support we have gained recognition from h\o and they are ready to listen so we can move forward myself and 22 others will travel to reading and leeds giving up our time and money to represent advisors" all "the least you can do is have a input its takes minutes if i can give one and a half days to represent you a bit of input wouldnt go amiss if not dont moan when your voice is lost COME ON POST ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lack of support from FSM and self-employed status are issues that concern me.
Basically l get no support from FSM, over 6 months and no contact - perhaps he died! Phone calls are not answered and messages not returned. When you do get through he says things like "what can l say" "l'll sort it out" but nothing is ever done.
We are all self-employed but are treaed like employed personnel. As time goes by we are becoming less and less self-employed with no benifits.

Hi Russel, I came into the forum to put a post about lack of input or these seminars, but you beat me to it. If the silent majority have no input then we will have to go to these meetings with our own itinary and the others will have no right to complain if their own views are not put forward. I urge everyone out their to give us something to work with so that we chosen few can try to help put this company back where it should be

Red - would you be happy to include the Sam ideas into the top ten ?
This way I can make a seperate board for each of the 6 topics at the meeting.
Cheers

Hillarys said months ago that they would contact everyone..... but then didn't actually do it! I keep regularly reminding them.... they keep regularly saying they will.... and then don't!

you would think though joy the majority would be on this site or picked because of it because after all how else would they know how other advisors are thinking under point 6 on the agenda communications and teamwork some emails and thoughts would be nice as i would like to bring up advisors ongoing tips and training ;D

Russell...whilst I am certain that this forum was a major influence on Hillarys arranging the seminars for advisor feedback, we weren't 'chosen' because of it. They simply picked a number of agents with enough experience and track record to guarantee a lively input.
In fact Hillarys themselves do not know who most of the agents on this forum are - some of us have been up front about it, some are fairly easy to identify, but the majority have chosen to stay anonymous.
I have no doubt that we will arrive in Reading to find that half the agents there have never heard of this forum and will be coming with purely personal thoughts. That's fine, but we will of course take the opportunity on Tuesday evening to bring them up to speed.
