Why do these people ring up our customers and offer them FURTHER discounts, so when we go to fit they accuse us of "trying it on" with them. Why o why dont they check what they have ordered, fabric, dimensions, AND PRICE first so they can see how much (if any) we have already discounted. They should not assume the quote is at full price. Even better, these people should make contact with us FIRST to discuss any discounts that may be acceptable. By offering further discounts they are damaging our relationship with the customers, AND making us do the same amount of work for less money. I wonder if they would like to have their money cut by us at a whim. The solution >>> On the ITEM TEXT for blind number 1 (I'm assuming SAM of course) put the comments you want quotes to know about ie already discounted by 10%) - Quote will see this when they open the SAM Quote - Regards Kevin ICT SAM Development

On the right hand side of a posting is the word Quote. Just click on this and then put your text in after the final word quote. Then post as normal. Red

Hi Kevin Thanks for tip re message for quotes dept, will start using that. For various reasons (customer not decided, various options, conservatory/building work not finished) we sometimes quote with rough measurements. At the moment I do a paper quote as worried that quotes will convert and put order though with incorrect info. I wouldn't trust a text comment being picked up, any chance in a later release that we could mark the quote not to be processed without consultation with advisor first ?

Hi Kevin, Maybe I'm being a bit thick here, but where is the ITEM TEXT you mentioned when submitting a quote on SAM? I cant find it either, someone please explain ;D When you have input the first blind (or you can do it at the end through the edit screen of course) go to the last specifcation tab and locate the box for special instructions (not the one on the fit booking screen). Add your comments that you want quotes to see. Regards Kevin ICT SAM Development
