Anyone tried the Travelodges at Riverside Retail park or Mansfield?
Both have on site parking and are available at the moment at £26/night for the May shutters course

I am in Nottingham on 27th April for the shutters course and staying at the saffron white and green hotel. It is about 4 miles from the factory but a straight run. Will post details if its a good un or not after my visit. Red

I commented specifically on the Travelodge Nottingham Central, which was a pretty soul-less place, no bar, and parking in the local NCP at £ 13.00 overnight. Can't comment on the out of town Travelodge hotels as no personal experience, but the simple fact that they have parking must make them better. In general terms Travelodge is basic no frills accomodation but comfortable beds and clean linen so if all you're bothered about is sleeping they should be OK.

You could try the Beeches Hotel - it's reasonable, and has it's own car park at least, so whilst it may be more expensive than some you don't have to pay separately for parking. They also have a website:- www.thebeecheshotel.co.uk

I hope Hillary's are paying for the hotel, or are you guys daft enough to be paying for your own free training. Mr Lucas is on his way back from china as we speak, with another cracking deal. I hear he managed to undercut homebase who wanted to start their own range of shutters, but thought the suppliers product was to cheap and nasty. Cheap and nasty, he said, by the time we have finished with it, it certainly will not be cheap, and we can sort the nasty bit out at the factory Just like we did with the venetians
