At the last area meeting we were joined by Simon Dalby. I was impressed with his candidnesss when it came to wanting to know about ways in which advertising and effort could be better targeted. Seems to me that these are two clear instances where a small change could make a big difference. Make him aware of your views.

I havn't got the hang of these quotes yet but part of my posting was to victor meldrew. I don't think they are trying to get rid of us, even though that does seem to be happening. It seems to me that they don't have any idea of the type of relationship we have with us. They treat us like employees in some respects but like self employed subcontractors when it suits. What they don't treat us like (and we are ) is customers! If they got the drift of many posts they would realise that many advisers are extremely loyal and put up with poor commission rates in exchange for being treated as such.(loyal that is) Obviously many advisers prefer the comfort of the relationship with the added benefits of self employment rather than becoming truly self employed and a trade customer.( anybody any idea about prices etc.) The meetings should have made this obvious but clearly did not. The management need to get wise soon.

All I'm getting now is customers wanting the 3 for £99, 4 for £129.
Once they get a quote for £830 for the job instead, they close the book & say thanks we'll let you know!!!!!
Company advertising this job with an earning potential of £30,000 p.a.
3 for £99 = £14.53 comm. That's 2065 sales with a current trend of 40% conversion. That equals 5162 leads at 14 leads per day for 365 days a year.
4 for £129 = £18.93 comm. That's 1585 sales with a current trend of 40% conversion. That equals 3962 leads at 11 leads per day for 365 days a year.
I can't keep that momentum up all year. On top of that I'd have to fit the blinds, DOR 20% of them & re-appoint fitting dates because we can't get the blinds with-in the required '14 day fitting promise.'
I've been told by S/Support today that we can expect delays on Verticals as well as Venetians. I've got Rollers missing as well!
My FSM tells us to expect these delays for upto 8 weeks until the back log is sorted.
The FSM also tells me to look at my availability & see if I can increase that further.
I'm already available for 60 leads a week as it is!!!!
All I need now is for a £20 mis-measure that isn't mine, a dodgy quote for damage & a £250 insurance contribution & another Advisor or two to start in my area!!!
As I've said before ... my days with Hillarys are fast coming to an end!!!!
