A call today wanted the "all your sides for £349". Explained based on 3*3mt, his much bigger, 3.5*4.5mt. Offered to treat it as 3*4mt, £499 in Fleur. After much, good humoured horsetrading, agrees £449 as only 2 sides being done. Put it in SAM, 5 blinds priced at £399 - shite! Running late so couldn't be bothered to redo on paper, but moral of story, is do these on paper, not SAM. (GP, no need to say I told you so). Not such a bad day, 5 leads, 1 self gen, one old quote re-visited, £4,270. I've had worse

Not such a bad day, 5 leads, 1 self gen, one old quote re-visited, £4,270. I've had worse It's the same with most offers. Customer wanted 3 for 99 in Venetians for her conservatory. Up to 1.2m or £15 surcharge. 1 offer per household. Into SAM. 8 blinds in Pewter, 3 are over 1.2m, 1 is 2.82m, SAM charges 8 x £33. I add the £45 manually on paper, but can't put it into SAM. Another reason for being able to INCREASE SAMs price. Cust thinks it's such a great offer, adds 4 windows in the house, 3 of which are over 1.2m. So 12 blinds at my price £586, all into metal. Customer then wants to think about it over w/e, now wants to go ahead, I need to make another 14mile round trip to take her deposit. So yes, be aware. if fabrics are on offer, leave SAM at home. Or you too will be selling a 3 x 2 m venetian delivered and fitted for £33.

Why ? Tell the customer that we can only take deposits by card and take her card details over the phone. I do this frequently and have never had a problem.
If she insists on paying by cheque, tell her to post it to you - again, never had a customer refuse to do this.

Why on earth go back and take a deposit? ?? Get credit/debit card over the phone--if she cant/wont then do it "Nil Deposit". I do Have done so for years!! Taking orders on nil deposit is one thing Hillarys dislike but as Eric Morecambe used to say " They cant touch you for it!" Truthfully about 30% of my orders are nil deposit. HILLARYS NEVER RFUSE NIL DPOSIT ORDER... HOPE I CAUGHT YOU BEFORE YOU LEFT FOR 28 MILE ROUND TRIP?

Red Yeah, come on grey an man, Im a full full timer, and its bloody good going for me to do 4.5k in a day. what am i doing wrong. i think ive done well doing 2.5 -3k. I'm just on a roll, don't know why. I normally average £5k+/week with an average order value of £400 and a lead effect of around £250. Like many others, I've been really struggling this last few months, with both leads and AOV down, but this last week has gone berserk. I'm suddenly up to £28.6k so far this month, with an AOV of £550. If I could work out how I've done it, I'd run training courses or just work 3 days/week. As well as Sundays £4+k, I took £3.9k last Thursday PM. I've sold 2 awnings, several sets of roof blinds, had 2 good roof referrals from a new guy, and sold loads of crap (sorry clouds) for whole house. I'm in Hampshire, which hillarys apparently class as "affluent/home counties" - they obviously haven't seen Leigh Park, largest council estate in GB.

They will go and get cash out of the hole in the wall rather than give card or cheques. Of course I could do a no deposit, after all that's what 'quotes' do.
