Why are we asked to carry hundreds of samples into see a customer and present them with a few not so choice samples, it's embarrassing for us and I'm sure in many cases embarrassing for the customer to waste our time, and theirs. I'm sorry to say that this promotion is not only killing us but the Hillarys product which is expensive but that is the quality you pay for. Why attract people that obviously only want cheap because they haven't got any more to give. These customers think they are getting expensive samples for their £99 but we all know they are not and it's embarrassing to tell them otherwise. Let us decide how to sell because that is what we are here for, to sell. Not to try and sell crap promotions .... I thank you ...

i,ve just been with a customer who wanted 3 jonquil straw put details into sam out of stock. it,s the only neautral colour on the offer, she then chose clouds but wanted them for the same price so she rang HO and was told she could,nt have them, the point i,m trying to make is that because advertising a lot of people are not prepared to pay more than whats in the adverts ,this must playing hell with lead effect and conversion rates as well as our expences

If a customer asks me about the 3 for 99 deal, I explain its astock clearance & its the most unpopular colours hence the price! It usually puts them off. If they still persist tell em to go to Argos

I don't understand why people are still talking about 3/£99, I thought it was available but not being advertised. I've been asked for it once since Christmas, and said it was a pre-Christmas stock clearance and no longer available. I think I'm becoming paranoid! .... I live in a fairly wealthy area but everyone knows of 3 for £99, Half price blinds, the 'any Conservatory for £349' deal, they know about Web-blinds & I'm asked more & more to leave sizes!!!!!!! I was even asked if we do 50% off the 3 for £99. This is a very 'slippery slope' for Hillarys if they continue down this road. Price conditioning customers to this degree BEFORE we get through the front door can only result in disappointment for ALL ... Hillarys, Us & the Customer!

3/£99 still advertised around here also, but generally in awful colours in acacia, beckett, cerilly and the only half decent fabric of jonquil straw.
