Anyone who watches Midsomer Murders on TV tonight (does any body actually watch it ? – the acting reminds me of Crossroads and, anyway, Top Gear is on the other side) will get an impression of the market town where I live and work, and may even spot Hillarys blinds and awnings in various premises (if not removed during filming for period authenticity).
The episode features several scenes that include shop fronts in the Buttermarket and Cornmarket, and others that were filmed in the Spread Eagle Hotel, re-named The Swan for the purposes of the drama. A Salsa dancing scene was filmed in the hotel's brasserie, and a bedroom scene in one of the rooms. It also features a cottage in the High Street, and a local estate agent’s premises were turned into a funeral parlour for filming.
