I am in need of some help - A customer requires a number of roller blinds with the dimensions 250cm x 250cm in Acacia.
My spec sheet says NO but when I input the order details into good old SAM - He says YES.
Could anyone help me here as I don't want to spend the next few days trying to get a staight and correct answer from 'elsewhere' only to find myself disappearing up my own backside again - been there and done that thanks to 'help' too many times.
What is the answer?
Thanks in advance,
Dennis

If Sam says OK then I would put it through but explain to the customer that it may come back as undo able. If nothing else it will highlight a problem with Sam specs. My personal opinion is that it can not be done. Red

Can anyone explain to me why some fabrics such as Lace, Rhapsody, and Vista have a maximum drop of 190 cms on a 25mm barrel, but this increases to 300 cms on a 36/42 mm barrel.
How can the fabric be cut longer just because the barrel is bigger ? Is it something to do with the thickness of the fabric and the space afforded within the bracket ? If so, the why can't we get 300 cms on a 25mm barrel but using a 36 mm bracket ?
I don't understand the logic and would love to have it explained to me.

Just had an Acacia delivered which was over spec and joined, so can be done. However, it arrived with no control mechanism, no sidewinder, no cord and no brackets, also the fabric was not stuck to the barrel so had to make the blind myself. Check before you go to fit.

So they are sending them in kit form as well now. How far will they go to save money. I too had problems with an order this morning. No 3 inch hangers in the box. I only have 5 inch so had to cut nearly 200 down, can you feel the pain. Heres the best bit, rang service support to order around 500 3 inch hangers to be told I could only have 30. What use is 30?. Some stupid new rule they have been given to cut down on spares, so you have been warned, if you need spares, dont look to Hillary's to supply them for you or at least not in a decent amount. Red

Red And the promise from the Advisor Feedback Seminars was to look at making spares ordering easier ! How do they expect to run a business and keep customers happy if they refuse to supply the hardware required for fitting ? Thirty hangers indeed - that costs less than the jiffy bag they put them in. I fail to understand how such petty mindedness is allowed any authority in any company.
