It's not only the number of advisors, but the type that's important. I get the impression that many of the people posting are long term full time advisors, bringing in the majority of the business. New advisors are important, and we all had to start somewhere, but we all know 90% of new advisors last just 2-3 months.
The widely quoted pareto analysis, or 80/20 rule, suggests 80% of the business comes from 20% of advisors. I think Joy recently said she did around £350k last year, I did £308k, my colleague £260k. That's not far short of £1m/annum from 3 advisors

Did I read somewhere on the "last 50 postings" this week that this forum was going to get a mention in "SALES TALK"  I'm sure I did. Can't see a mention of it anywhere this morning, which shows the disdain that Sillarys attribute to us here. As a well-loathed FSM said recently " What a bunch of whingers-theres only about 6 of them!" Tell me, why do you NOT mention us, and instead give us a picture of a strange person in the worlds most badly fitting shirt?? The Sales Talk has no mention of this site AS PROMISED!! Oh SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! On the bottom of the front page it says to "email your comments to jenny.crookes@hillarys.co.uk" Lets do that,then, shall we? Just to ask why there is no mention of this site. VERY ANNOYED......  |
