SAM orders are released the following day after creation. In fact at our year end they were being released hourly.
Why then does the receipt we give the customer have the following printed on it - "Alterations and cancellation can only be accepted if made within 48 hours of the date printed at the top of this receipt." That's at least 24 hours after it's been released to manufacturing.
The paper orders just have " ... cannot be cancelled once manufacture has commenced." No timing mentioned.
Seems odd to me.

Does this mean that the customer can change their mind within 48 hrs even if the blind has been made? I'd like to see a test case on this. Think the customer would win

We had a customer change their mind AFTER the blinds were at the window!!! 18 pleated side blinds in Cambridge in a CN. The customer said they didn't keep out enough sun so Hillarys are re-making them in Medley as I write!! Hows that for customer service??
PS I received a ca ll today from the service centre asking if ALL the blinds should be replaced? Er... yes please....
