Hillary's philosophy has been quality product blah blah What is most annoying is when we go to fit a job and you find carrier rail not working, no chain, weights missing etc. Most experienced advisor's carry every conceivable spare part to cover these scenarios, but sometimes we at our cost have to go back if we do not have part. Hillary's in the main never find out about these problems or there is no point of contact to inform them. Could we not raise a error job sheet Thru SAM device to report these problems so whoever is potentially week in week out creating these problems on the shop floor be reeducated in there ways to produce QUALITY PRODUCTS ;D Could also be used to raise DOR / spare parts etc. What do you think. Than again membership of forum has tripled since that post so you never know Glen

Many years ago, I produced a spreadsheet style form that I used to post to the Area Manager. Probably have it some where on my old Acorn computer, maybe I could update it and post it here?
If I remember correctly, Hillarys used to have a form and process, but it stopped ages ago.

Than again membership of forum has tripled since that post so you never know Glen I must be back-side coverer in chief to Hillarys. My wagon has more spares than HMS Illustrious. 4 massive plastic boxes which even have the old roller fittings somewhere in them. The type of spare I carry might help others--it helps me. Namely Touch up white gloss paint Cherry blossom, light tan, mid tan and oxblood shade ( for Cherrywood). Bath Sealant--isnt it the greatest filler in UPVC?? 9 shades of crayon sandpaper in 3 grades 2 fine saws Mitre block Spare tape measure--the measuring sticks are starting to break their internal tapes around now--if you got one when they first came out. That can be hugely expensive, as it doesnt snap but sticks and lops about 15cms off measurements and you can do a load before you catch on.!!! plus loads of everything else. I have to ...as it saves me DORs and cash in long run. There are many errors we cover and Hillarys never find about. " There's them that know, and there's them that don't know, and in Hillarys case there is them that don't know they don't know!!" Bear

I find that the tape measures do the same thing after a while and it can be a few mis measures before you find out what the problem is. So it is for that reason I carry 3 tape measures and throw the one I am using out ofter around six months. Expensive I know, but so are mis measures and the stigma attached to doing them by having to justify yourself is embarrassing to say the least. Red
