I know for a fact that HQ have been asked to log our calls on the quality of wooden venetians.
Why do they insist on telling us that there isn't a problem when we know if ca't just be 'us' getting a few dodgy ones.
I'm sending more back than I'm fitting right now.

We always check the wooden blinds before leaving the house now..... saves a lot of time and embarrassment. We send more back than we fit too........

Because of problems that other agents have been having with wooden venetians I have taken to persuading my customers to buy Aluwood instead. I've had no complaints

can be a little hard to say to a customer that one of our products is so bad we can't recommend it anymore !

We have been listening to your views regarding the quality and price of wooden blinds. Don't want to spoil anyone's thunder, but you will be receiving details over the next week of the new product and the amazing prices we are now able to offer.

Why is nearly every blind chipped? Why in every consignment of Woodens is at last one packet of fixings gone AWOL and scratched slats with screws? Why do you send out 50mm woodens with 25mm brackets? Why do you send out Commercial velcro -- with woodens --CUT IN HALF for heavens sake? Why are the ends of 35mm slats RAW wood unstined, and chipped? Why are returns on Exact wooden Mitres CRAPPY?
Why do I bother?
Answer --Bucause I am an optimist and hope it will get better, because I hope someone Cares.

Just received prices, yep Mellisa they are amazing prices for wooden venetians, far more competitive.
I personally don't think we need to be cheaper, we can be a bit more because of our brand. I am very pleased that the Standard Roman prices haven't come down, we now can offer cheaper versions (shades) if price is a problem and more expensive (cascade) when price isn't an issue. I sell a lot of romans and like fitting them so pleased to see can still maintain commission levels. Will earn less on the venetians but have lost many sales on price so the reduction should balance out maintaining commission/work ratio (unlike this blessed 4 for £99 that may increase leads but I have found wasted hours of sales effect for little return. sorry not keen on 3 for £99 either !).
