I started with a Terios baby 4x4 plus roof rack and a 3 metre pipe for carrying verts. The pipe had sign writing as well as the magnetic stickers. I have now got a Mitsubisi Delica 4x4 (Shogan base with a MPV body) no roof rack bags of room for all my tackle and plenty of lenght for those cn blinds. Only use magnetic signs now as the new motor is very noticable and my sales have not altered with less sign writing. ;D

I use a humble Ford Escort van. It may seem small, but I did £308k business last year and never had a problem, even though I carry loads of spares. By cutting out part of the load guard, I can get a 3mt headrail or 2.8mt venetian inside. Anything longer goes on roof bars, which are low and easily accessable. I have Hillarys look-a-like signage, it has my home phone number on it. (did a deal with a customer - he got cheap blind, I got decent signs). Won't use signs on next van, in comparison to UK Blinds and local competition, makes us look like back street amateurs.
Anyone wanting a cheap trade sale van, try BT Fleet Sales on 0208 2981072. I bought mine 2,1/2 years ago. It was 3 years old, FSH, new service & MOT, 25k miles, £3,400+VAT. Probably selling Transit Connects by now. Collect from local BT site.
