Anyone got any hints as to the best way to fit rollers in a 90 degree angle such as in a conservatory or bay?
Have to use the medium brkts to clear double glazed window handles, but that means a gap in the corners.
There is probably a way of doing it, but i'm clearly too thick to work it out!
BTW if I tick the box to have the thread bookmarked, how do I quickly re access the thread?

Hi Blinder If its any help I always allow for a 36 mm bracket when measuring the corners and order reverse roll which gives a neat finish When you measure use a 36mmm bracket as a template and allow an extra 3mm for production variation. Hope this helps

1. Reverse roll to miss handles. Standard brackets usually miss handles, use sample to test. 2. Front roller full length 3. Side roller butt up to front roller (use brackets to measure) This should mean no gap.

Blinder, like MM, I always reverse roll, but use std 25mm brackets. Used to use 36mm until they were discontinued, the 42mm now used with 36mm barrel are too long in my opinion. I've always found reverse roll clears the window handles, and it reduces the gap between the 2 blinds in the corner. As MM, measure 1 right in to corner and use bracket to measure for 1 butting up to it. Try to avoid putting sidewinder against butted blind as this again increases gap. Another thing to look out for, if you have blinds on window adjacent to door, make blind as wide as possible. Reverse roll moves fabric well away from window, so if you've only just covered the glass, you get a big angled gap. hope this is helpful

When were 36mm brackets dis-continued ? No one told me - Am i the only one ? LoL. Blinder, like MM, I always reverse roll, but use std 25mm brackets. Used to use 36mm until they were discontinued, the 42mm now used with 36mm barrel are too long in my opinion.

Sorry blinder Keep forgetting that there are 2 x 36mm brackets. I still have the old and new type. Didnt mean to mis-lead you. A little tip that may help is I got hold of some UPVC window board and use it to cut up into packing pieces just in case you have a raised joint which prevents you from butting up the blinds . MM

Hi Blindsman There are currently 3 sizes 25mm-36mm and 42mm . The new 36mm are slightly longer than the old ones but are realy handy. Dont know about you but recently I have come across some pretty large brass handles so I use the new 36mm. MM

You've all got a point with fitting rollers ... but you should always in my view 'fit & request' 36mm barrels & brackets. The reason being that the company policy is that a drop 3x the width of a blind is on 36mm brackets. Doors are nearly always longer drops. Reverse roll for windows & standard roll for doors ( with an option of reverse roll on doors if customer prefers ). Mixing barrel sizes in a Conservatory never looks good. Another point worth considering is that you should always fit to the window frame & not into the 'Ring Beam' at the top. GVM .... there is still a difference in the size of brackets between 36 & 42mm blinds to my knowledge .... it's just that the new 36mm bracket is longer than we used to have 6 - 10 months ago but still shorter than the 42mm bracket.

I'll have to have a look greenpesto. My understanding was they wanted to reduce 4 brackets to 3. As there ws only about 4mm difference between the 25/36mm the 36 was dropped and the 42 used for 36/42mm barrels. I think there's also an extension bracket, which is a silly length. I always used to use the 36mm bracket as standard as it had 3 side fitting holes
Anyone know where their advisor handbook is? That might tell us! (OK so I'm being silly now)
