Just loading up the van for tomorrow, and yet again, not got all the blinds I should have. This is the third consecutive week I've been short of blinds that are on the delivery list and invoiced. This is the third consecutive week I'm going to p!ss customers off. This is the third consecutive week I'm p!ssed off as I can't finish a job and have to go back. Last week it was a £2,000 order for 12 blinds, this week a £1400 order for 19 blinds.
Are these numbers just too big for our delivery drivers? Can't they bl@@dy well count higher than 5?. If these are contract drivers, we should be charging the contract company for compensation. But NO, we'll give the customer a discount and knock back my commission even though I'm doing more work and miles, just because some pratt in a big white van can't count.
I'd like to say I feel better for getting that off my chest - but I don't. Three weeks running is totally unacceptable. Just like my new avatar, I'm on the edge and being pushed

Take some Valium and then disregard the fitting date on Sam. Tell the customer you will contact them when ready. It saves a lot of embarrassment on your part and saves Hillary's loosing more customer faith. I know it should not happen, but Hillary's are so busy trying to run our small business ventures they can not cope with their own any longer. Red

Do I tell the removal men to wait upon Hillary's teaching their drivers to count? Aha, you said the magic words, Fit date. Entered into Sam I presume and agreed with the customer at point of sale. Nough said. Never get this problem, dont book em till they are here. Red

But if customer is moving house, you have to commit to a date. And it's not Hillarys error, blinds are made and sent out - it's the idiot in the white van (which is why I drive a grey one - nothing to do with co-ordinating van with hair and beard ;D ;D ;D The John Smiths must be kicking in)

Under these circumstances I still would have told the customer I would ring when they were in. Obviously If they wanted them in quick I would have given them priority, but nothing is certain in this life, especially blinds deadlines. Now you have stress for yourself and an upset customer that will get a discount. I rarely have discounts for late delivery because they are not expecting them for another week so are pleased when they get them a week early. Red

The missing blinds you mention is the reason I never will use sam for booking me fits. still find Sam slow, awkward to use, and am still faster and more accurate doing it "the old" way. Had more bloody things wrong since using it, than I ever have had before.. yes before you say, I am moaning again............... why dont I bugger off etc etc, Am only telling the truth. Isnt that what this site is for. Will perseveare with it though. thats when the screen doesn't freeze on me, or just wont work when i am trying to print out the 25th blind of a 36 blind order, after sitting in an uneasy silence for 1/2 hour iunputting all the data...................jesus.................... Who designed the inputting method on the bloody thing.

I would like to know who got the blinds for an quote converted in early march. I was not informed that quote had been converted and despatch claim blinds were delivered, and say that because they were not reported missing within 21 days I will be charged. My arguement is that if I do not know the quote has been converted, how do I know they're missing? Thankfully, I have one of the best FSMs, who is taking this case up for me.

Well at least you get a quote converted. I have not had one converted for as far back as I can remember and I know for a fact that no one ever calls any of my customer quotes because I ask them and they all say the same, no one has called from Hillary's. Good luck any way with finding your lost order. All un-needed stress. Red
