So much for being self employed and choosing when and where we work. E-mailed diary maintainance to make some changes to my diary and got the reply that changes cannot be made without the sanction of FSM and/or area manager. My message to diary maintainance is that I consider myself self employed and I will decide when I will work, how many leads I will cover and what areas I will cover

I just fax through the changes, and hey presto! they change. ;D

Pete...that's gotta be some new employee or temp who doesn't know what they are doing because, you are quite right, we decide when and where we work - the only problem with FSM is if we are not giving adequate coverage and capacity overall so that lead to diary time becomes too extended.
You know your way around so don't need me to tell you what to do about it but, for the benefit of others, get transferred specifically to Julia in Diary Maintenance - she is probably the most reliable and sensible. If problem persists sort it with your FSM and get him to tell Diary Maintenance to stop being stupid. If FSM is the problem (and I'm sure yours isn't) then email Ross Kenney to get everybody sorted out.
Anyway, I don't doubt that you told them where to put it in your own inimitable fashion.

How well you know me, Mike, lol. Actually FSM agrees with me (as I knew he would)
