What does everyone do with all the blind packaging? Do you leave it with the customer, or dispose of it yourself? Has Hillarys ever considered having it back to re-use. They might not need to cut the velcro any smaller if they saved money on cardboard! PS The bubble wrap comes in useful!

I use the bubblewrap sometimes for ebay !
The rest mostly goes to the tip for recycling.

I usually ask the customr if they would mind disposing of the packaging for me. Not many refuse. As for bubble wrap, I use it to wrap my bottles when coming home from holiday, lol.

Previous to working with Hillarys I worked for another company that also had a high consumption of cardboard. They always made sure the waste was picked up when I had a new delivery as they made quite a bit of money out of it through recycling.I have been amazed that Hillarys do not do this.Coincidentally the other company was based in Nottingham so there must be some outlet for it.

I have been taking it away as when I first started I felt customers were unhappy with me asking them to dispose of it (even though training said ask em) . Also felt it was my bit for recycling as took it to the local recycling tip. But last thursday had big argument with a jobs worth at the tip who said I was trade (saw my bag in back of the galaxy) and told me can't use the local tip and have to go to trade tip further away and pay !!! Now I ask customer if I can put it out with their bin, no problems - so. 1. I don't have to take it home 2. I don't have to go to the tip 3. The council still pick it up, have to handle it twice and it's not recycled 4. I've learnt not to be a stick in the mud and to look at other things I decided I knew better when I first started. I agree Hillarys should pick it up, I wouldn't mind flattening it so took less room. Anything others have changed their minds on
