Joy...took up your challenge and yes, I can beat that.
I got ranked 2 out of 133, so don't understand where your ranking out of 1860 came from ? Anway, I did it in just over two minutes but it was quite an easy one, starting out with about 35 numbers already filled in whereas most newspaper puzzles generally have 27 or less. I normally reckon on about 6-8 minutes for the Daily Mail 3 star puzzles, up to 15-20 minutes for their 5 star fiendish one.
Keep trying - it gets easier with practice (I'm not being patronising - honest!)
PS - love the England flag - hope to see lots of patriotism on this forum in the build up to the World Cup (Scottish and Welsh contributors - please don't spoil it for us).

Lets just say it took me 35 minutes, and there isn't much hope of me getting any quicker!! PS Did get an O Level in maths though ;D

It's OK - I'm pretty useless at Crosswords, and got the booby prize at the local pub quiz last week !

PS - love the England flag - hope to see lots of patriotism on this forum in the build up to the World Cup (Scottish and Welsh contributors - please don't spoil it for us). OK, I'm being patriotic, my flags got a pole. But what about the poor old Irish (that is the North Ireland), you might have offended them. I don't wish ill on any British team doing well, but it pisses me off the way the media harps on and on about it, it's no wonder we want them to be knocked out in the first round, so we can get back to normality. Yesterday, was English FA cup day, live on BBC digital i.e Satalite tv, so what do I get in Scotland, on BBC1 digital, a message that says "We appologise to viewers in Scotland, if you wish to resume viewing BBC Scotland, retune to the analogue channel." What happens when analogue is switched off. I know this is partly the fault of the SFA, when live games are being played, no football on tv can be shown. But why can't the BBC show the programme on analogue tv over the digital service. There moan over, and I hope Hillary's aren't to blame for this, for a change. -------------------------------------- Reply from Mike Telling off accepted and totally justified...my sincere apologies to our colleagues in Northern Ireland.

Well, if we are all posting flags and seen as I am not a footy fan, I thought I would post the Hillarys flag instead. ;D ;D

Why would you wave your Pole around. Nothing wrong with polish people. Put him down this instant. Pick on a non european instead.
