Here we go again Suppose to be fitting wood venetian today, but it's not made yet. Just been told cos of phasing in new range they're in an an absoulte mess with loads of bits missing for what most of us are selling Sound familiar? You'd think after last year they'd at least learnt a lesson and done it properly this time - but oh no, this is Hillarys after all

well I'm not going to waste my time selling them until it gets better. Why 'sell' something you have no confedence in ?
We only end up going back anyway !
I'm trying to sort out a dor for somebody else right now. 2nd dor comes and it's rubbish- can't have cords on one side we were told, oh yes we can - oh no we can't !!
The message changes depending on what you end up with !

Just found out what may be causing lack of valances. It seems if you order a valance with special instructions it is interpreted as no valance and nobody is reading your special instructions. Hence no valance.

Just had customer cancel 3 blinds. Fit due last week, we've made 1, now colour discontinued. When we had this same c0ck up last year, I noticed several orders for myself and others had just 1 blind made. Common sense says if you're running out of stock, you complete 1 order at a time. Not Hillarys, let's start 10 orders instead. Now perhaps I'm being a little cynical here, but could it just be that by starting 10 orders, they all show as WIP rather backlog, which looks much better on paper than 2 complete 8 not started. Then as all 10 orders get canceled, they just disappear from WIP and backlog figures - IT'S MAGIC. Paul Daniels would be proud

Why are you still selling Wooden venetians?
I gave in once for the first time in 6 months & true to form it was crap!
I tell customers not to buy our Woods but I do try to offer alternatives.
Can't win 'em all but I've had a lot of customers thank me for my honesty!!!!

Sell Wooden Venetians DON'T BE SILLY!!!!!!!!
I haven't sold a Hillarys wooden venetian for 8 or 9 months because they are utter and absolute crap.
Arrive scratched, wrong fittings, cut ends not stained, mechanical bits in the heads rails thrown together, mitres crap and splinters everywhere. Sheds loads of DOR'S and arguments and commission clawed back, money then stolen by clerks giving away unnecessary discount..bolicks to that way!!
I tell all enquiring customers that our Woodens are crap, and I too get thanked for my honesty.....that doesn't mean that I walk away, however. All my customers are satisfied after I leave the house--and you can interpret that any way you want!!! I even get asked back for more!!!! In fact Hillarys wooden venetiand make me a richer and happier person, and you can interpret that any way you choose as well!!
Come to think of it I think Hilarys wooden venetians are blooming marvelous--now let me see, who else can I put off??

Can't win 'em all but I've had a lot of customers thank me for my honesty!!!! I've sold quite a few over the last several months with no problems. In fact, I don't have a problem with wood venetian blinds now, just with the lack of management at Washington. Last years pantomime was bad enough, but to repeat it in less than a year takes a special level incompetence

l always tell the customer Hillary's wooden vens are crap, due to the quality. And like everyone else l get thanked for been honest.
l tell them the problems and try to get an order for aluwood. lf they do place an order for wood, then they have been fore warned of all the problems.
l dare say chinaman Lucas will be telling us that the new wood is good and that there are no problems.... heard that before.
