HERETICUS an excellent piece you wrote. To all staff keep up the good work it is appreciated, even Im sure by the still silent members. To the rest of us members lets help turn the corner and get this forum back where it was, where it should be on the topics that matter and leave the unpleasant stuff in the playground.THANKS

Motters? I didn't get an email from you, but I'm guessing it was along the lines of do we keep the site or not? YES YES YES !!!!! I think the best thing that has come out of it is the contact we can have with other advisors. The response from Head Office has been disappointing (non existent!?), but like Hereticus, I feel I have made some friends among you. And indeed met some of you! (Well - 2 of you - Hereticus and Red).... ;D ;D What a happy bunch we are today!!

............ I also believe (putting mismeasure fines to one side) that many good things have resulted from our input to the seminars - not enough and not quick enough, but still more than would have happened otherwise........... Mike, I wish I had your rose tinted specs! I'd love to be able to say that Hillarys responded to the seminars in a positive way and are committed to listening to, and working with, advisors, but come on! Putting mismeasure fines to 1 side, we achieved ...... "free" SAM paper which should never have been chargeable any way. payment for service calls, and second DORs. Now the latter is an improvement which would never have happened without the seminars. But consider the resource that was committed to these forums from both sides, and the working parties that were set up to deal with the points raised. After 9 months, that ain't a lot to show for the work involved. What ever happened to the team that was looking at rewards/commissions/bonus etc? My suspicion, and it's nothing more than that, is that if anything ever does come of this, it will be just after Hillarys launch their own web site. They do not want to implement anything that this forum can claim as a success. They're more interested in party politics than advisor motivation. But I'm glad I asked the question, it's really brought a few first/occasional posters out. And I really agree that this forum has removed a lot of the isolation that we all experience in this line of work. I'm trying not to be negative, I'm a positive person by nature, and I strongly believe the only way we'll move forward and improve our lot is by working with Hillarys, not against them. Why certain people at h/o have seen fit to waste the opportunity this forum presented is beyond me. And they even responded to advisors asking why mismeasure fines were being increased and damage claims potentialy become our liabilty with, "because it's what the advisors at the forum asked for"

Hi all!
This forum is one of the best things to come out of Hillarys. Only surpassed by a few (past and) present members - hereticus russell farmer joynmik red and other regulars.
So Motters keep it up !!
Good to see so many like minded comments - positive, sensible posts on a SERIOUS ISSUE. We all need to know we are not the only ones.
This sort of consensus should be applied to other major issues like the mismeasure fines/ service call payments, but if that never happens this forum will STILL be worth every effort.
JUST READ THE POSTS IN SUPPORT!!!!

Absolutely, keep it going Motters.
After reading the other postings this morning, not much to add. I only wish the non - posters would post, just so we knew what their thoughts were, even if they are repeating whats allready said.
With regards to Hillarys, ( they obviously ignore this site, wether it be the truth that hurts, arrogance, or the sometimes too personal remarks about them) is a shame, 'cos if they had an input, we would be able to discuss, rather than attack !
We must keep on at htem though about the rewards issue, ie, 99% commission on self gens ! ;D

Of Course keep it going!! Happy Anniversary!
Why on earth would we ever want to stop having this forum!!?
Conversely, anything run , managed, and controlled by Hillarys, will always be just that..
..IE something run, managed and controlled by Hillarys. Sadly we know how the end product will turn out, based on past performance.
I have been told by my FSM in no uncertain terms last June that if it could be pinned down that one of the agents in its area was knocking Head Office on this forum then their leads would be chopped by the week-end.....
So Hereticus and the other devotees DO NOT trust them completely despite your plain good intentions...

I hope the forum continues as shared information can be often helpful. Although I don't post very oftenI do read the latest 50 posts regularly and share those frustration which are frequently voiced.

Happy Birthday--I hope you make it to your Second anniversary..
This has been a blessing for the comradeship it has given, and the one thing it has killed is the useless " Its only you" answer we get frequently from FSMs ( whatever they are!) and Colwick.
It hasnt touched the huge things like the STOLEN COMMISSION and the clawbacks, but some of us have found recompense for that in other ways...more fool Hillarys.
As to Hereticus stating that poor John Riseman and Ross Kenny must think they arte getting six poison-pen letters daily and to that end they are not looking at the site and it must hurt them ... I have to say... poor dears... awwwww wuzzums!!!
Had both of them had the balls to come to meetings and face us and explain and justify why clawing back earned commission 6 weeks after its been paid and why we have to suffer 30% deductions in pay when the factory cockedup pre-Xmas woodens delievries then they would have my respect .
But when they choose to snipe at us from positions of power and issue edicts that are eternally to our detriment then they deserve all they get.
Beckham was castigated for getting sent off against Argentina and was spat on by fans. He got his act together, straightened himself up, explained the whys and wherefores and very quickly got massive public backing.
Why cant these 2 wunderkind do the same or are they, as is likely working to a hidden agenda, based on the ostrich principle.
If I can't see it then it isn't there..
That gents, is the rock you will perish on!!!

Definately keep the forum going.....it's great to be able to talk, swap ideas and share good times as well as bad with other advisors! Would be nice to know exactly to whom I'm talking to tho.............haven't got a clue who most of you are as you don't post under your real names. On another note, I'm gonna hit my 1000 order/quote on SAM today too!!! Whose gonna celebrate with me...........will I get a bonus!!! ;D Karen

Karen Karen....interesting observation, as we don't know who you are either. OK, it doesn't take a genius to work out that your name is probably Karen Lloyd - but where in the country are you, what is your advisor name ? Why not join Phugly, Russell, Blue Van Man, Joy, myself, and others by adding such information for display when you post. The more of us who are up front and in the open, then the more recognition and credibility we have, and more chance of marginalising those who have abused their anonymity to make derogatory personal remarks.

Keep it going, certainly most advisors are better for having it even if they do not post.
Anyone who does not like it does not have to join.
