Yesterday I and several other advisors from South Wales attended a meeting with Ross Kenney, Rose Haines and some other execs from HO. This meeting was aimed at getting ideas for advertising in order to increase sales in this area. This type of meeting will also be repeated in other parts of the country. This shows to me that HO are at least trying to help us and are also asking our help to find ideas to increase business.
Rose Haines also brought up the fact that Hillarys will be rolling out their own advisor web site/forum later this year. There is nothing new in this as the idea was mooted at Reading back in February. This web site will be set up so that advisors can chase orders, DORs and order spares and is not intended to replace this forum but to run along side it.
Incidenntly, a comment was made that HO staff will not respond on this forum to "anonymous personal comments".

were you able to get any news on the new payments mess? in particular why nothing further has been put in writing.
these sort of meetings are positive and Hillarys should be letting the masses know about them, god knows we need to get some good news.

I wouldnt trust them anymore, look what they did after they "listened" to us at the seminars, they went off did their own thing and cost us more money. Steer well clear and keep your heads down. Just what I said two weeks ago.

The blind warehouse is offering 6 for 99, and are probably 1/2 to 2/3 of our price on their normal range. Did they pick up on any of the suggestions made on this forum, such as BOGOF or buy 2 get 3rd at 50%, style of advertising.

I don't know how they can call this a £100 million business. as for not being the right time or place to take them to task over payments just when is? ? just what do we pay the advertising team for?

They should be regreting closing the shops! Since they've closed them Hillarys seem to have lost all credibility in the public eye

Most areas never had shops, my nearest was around 90 miles away. Only a problem if you let it become one. Why does everyone want to go backwards? Lets have shops - loads of them - every major city - they can use the ones left empty by all the big names that have gone bust. Lets have home phone numbers, lets send all orders in by post, lets spend hours phoning around booking fits

i read somewhere in a recent memo that we had 12,000 leads last month i would like to know the conversion rate on these considering the marketing and advertising is the worst i have known in 13 years with hillarys, and also because now we rely totally on call centres is the service we and customers get so bad
