cheatedadvisor It would be interesting to know how many areas this is covering. We had ad in local rag last week for agents to earn 3k a month only small outlay for IT equipment .Thats more than I earned over the last few months. As usual not aware Hillarys were recruiting. MM

what good as come from this forum for the advisor . could you update me , lots of jokes, and talking but no real help or gain just more over heads to pay out . job harder to do with less pay . thanks a bundle to the click who trust Ross and upper managerment to even consider us. But one as to carry on regardless . please please try not to keep helping them make things anymore harder than the customer and FSMS makes it already for us .

There's a lot of merit in 'pyramid's' suggestion!!!!
It would be a simple thing for Hillarys to have that printed on the invoices as it prints off the blinds & costs details.
Failing that you could always run off some sticky labels on your computer with the disclaimer on for the customer to sign.
Just make sure that there is a signed sticker on each of the invoice copies.
Well done 'pyramid'!!!!!!

It seems most of us have problems with FSM's. Since I've been with Hillarys I'v had three, all as useless as the next one. No contact for days when you tel or text. Current one doesn't know how the text works on the mobile phone!!!!! We dont need them and commisions could go up with them out of the way. In business you must look after the people who bring in the business- us not orders, service etc. I spend a sizeable portion of my working week covering up for the imperfections of HO. There is anexpression that involves the ability to organise a 'party' in a brewery, you know what I mean. Finallt, something has got to be done about the diary farce. They want us to all do more calls, with TV ads coming but forget that it can take 20-30 mins to get to next appointment.

One of the main reasons behind me leaving is a shoddy useless FSM, but most important to me is the Stolen Commission issue, and the fact that matter is being ignored by the thieves in suits Head Office . God only knows how many I've had over the years, a few absolutely useless, most reasonable, some very good. Like any group of people, there's good and bad FSMs, but you need to be clear what you want from him/her. They're not there to run your business, on the other hand they shouldn't be ruining it either. Communication and working relationships are a 2 way thing, you've both got to work at it. At the end of the day, if you really can't get on with your FSM, contact your RSM. Personally, I think they have one of the worst jobs in the company. They have directors telling them this week that they've got to promote the Hillarys Way, 40 mins per std call, 60+mins per specialist call. Next week, they're told they've got to increase capacity by putting more leads in our diaries. Next it's discounts, followed by conversion rates, followed by order value, followed by lead effect. Then they have to stand in front of 20+ irate advisors and take the flak. Would you want to do it? I certainly wouldn't. And at the risk of repeating myself, I have had some very good area managers/FSMs over the years that have helped ME run MY business. I don't want them ringing me every week, unless they have something to say. I do, though, expect some response if I need help or guidance.

I don't want them ringing me every week, unless they have something to say. I do, though, expect some response if I need help or guidance. Exactly! I have had 4 or 5, and frankly none have been up to snuff. I never wanted daily or even weekly contact. It would have been nice if the present one could get my name right.!!!! That is a / was a constant source of merriment at quarterly meetings--We never put the FSM right!!! When I needed help it was NEVER there--Never answers mobile live--emails never get answered--and when an issue needs serious raising like the Stolen Commission it was sent to Ross K who rang me and who basically waffled saying Advisers have to share the downside as well as the upside and prattled on for 15 minutes telling me " How it used to be" Nothing happened I emailed again via FSM who forwarded it to Ross K who did sod-all, a second time. Now we know an edict is abroad in Colwick to ignore the Stolen Commssion issue totally, and these two reasons are the cause of my becoming a competitor of Hilllarys on Monday 15th May. The operation is virtually rotten to the core and expects 25% of us to leave and active recruiting is rampant just now. And as for Forums ---Well intentioned--but just like Chamberlain before World War 2 " I have a piece of paper with Mr Hitler signature and he assures me....bollox, bollox, bollox...etc Sorry lads it was a nice try but when you deal with dirty people you have to act dirty, and I do not need the hassle. The bas***ds stole my money and forced me out of a job I liked a lot---I curse the ground they walk on!!! DB

With regards to f.s.m's. i managed without one for the 1st 5 years or so of my career with Hillarys.......... I also have got to agree with Doggy. We all moan when we haven't got any leads, lets be thankfull we have so many. Work them to the best of our ablity, ie, contact the customer and reorganise. If you loose them, tough, but that rarely happens. In fact the customer often appreciates speaking to a human being, rather than a robot in the call centre. before you say owt, doesn't mean that i like having 5 customers in a 3 hour period, or the 3 for 99's but lets get on with it. Must say that since reorganising my diary, into postcoded areas it is working a treat. Tommorow for example, with 5 customers to see before 12, 2 are on the same street, another in the same village, and the next two in the next village. so should get them all sorted............. There positive for once !!!!

Too risky to go into someone's home with no insurance..... What if you knock over an antique whatever costing ££££££'s when trying to negotiate your bag across the room, let alone drilling into their property??? Are we covered until the 8th May? After that I will not be entering anyone's house unless I have insurance... Has anyone checked out how much this will cost us to take out privately yet.... (Think I'll do that now.....) But the rest of the letter seems good to me....as far it goes. STILL WANT MY PAST COMMISSION BACK THOUGH!!! Just had a bathroom suite delivered. Company would only carry out of van into kitchen, or other ground floor room, due to................................changes in their Public Liability insurance. I would have sign a disclaimer if i wanted them to carry it upstairs. Chattng to plumber mate of mine,he has more trouble with false claims, and folk trying it on than ever. Due to this he does nothing on the cheap, wont discount, and takes anyone to smalls claim court, no matter how small the amount is, if they dont pay. Trouble is we are stuck with the same old commission rate, wether we find the work ourselves or not. We get orders discounted without our say so, we are getting hammered left right and centre. something has got to change with regards to our commission, soon!!!

This has gone a little off topic- my fault for not keeping a closer eye on it.
Please start a fresh thread and keep to the topic of each thread....
