Its now official, Mellisa, after "a period of consultation ... has left the company", and (along with other appointment announcements), Simon Dalby has been appointed Commercial Director to the board. He joins us from GUS where he was a senior director. Now am I mistaken, but was GUS not behind Littlewoods, mail order and High Strret chain that has just gone belly up. They are also looking for a new recruit to join the team of FSMs. Fancy the task? Ross has also found a replacement for Brian Brolly, Ann-Marie Martin. Once indoctrinated, she will be made fully operational. No date specified, may depend on how long the process takes to remove the normal thinking part from the brain. Oh, and just to remind us, the 3 for £99 promo will continue as it will be bannering our adverts to drive up more calls and leads. Only yesterday, I had to atttend a service call for a 3 for fitted in November. H/R lazy carriers, need to DOR and another 10 mile round trip to fit. Now let me see, so far 40 miles, and probably 3.5 to 4 hous work for £14.00. Next call, customer wanted 3 rollers for 99, any fabric she says, says so in advert. Not in my advert says I. Prices her Clound, but that is £52 not £33 she says, no I'll leave it and go to the market. Explanations of differences in quality don't wear. When are they going to learn to dump these offers.
