The new adverts appearing in my local papers make a big thing of the free measuring and free fitting service by Hillarys...
If we confirm this when out on a call, are we (as agents) liable for any comeback if that customer goes to trading standards and they decide we DO actually charge extra for fitting. (Web Blinds much cheaper for same product) Or will Hillarys have to take responsibilty.
At the moment I just say fitting is included in the price they pay, rather than it's free......

They still say that web blinds will be separate in future for the ads, but time will tell.

i always tell the customer the fitting is free due to the guarantee covering product and the blinds being fitted properly, sometimes works against web blinds prices if the customer is unsure about using a drill .
