is there any way to fit wood ven to a conservatory with out blinds hitting the handles....... I have done it once using just the top part of a usb bracket, but you can only get one screw in so is not very stable. Other than making your own brackets i do not know of any other way. Red

is there any way to fit wood ven to a conservatory with out blinds hitting the handles....... try pleared "s" fix brackets, i fing them better than u.s.b's. but still not over firm !!!!! P.s. nearly all wooden blinds I have fitted in conservatories, have ended up having to replace them, due to warping. So make sure customer knows this can happen...........

I was advised by a reliable source from h/office that wood for upvc conservatories do not work for the simple reason the weight and the pulling power needed to pull them up coupled with the distance they need to be from the face to miss the handles,do not make these a viable choice because they are only screwed into the plastic.if they damage the pvc when they fall off who pays?

Agree with keenasmustard - don't offer wood venetians in a PVC Conservatory with protruding handles. The weight of the blind, the force required to raise it, and the cantilever effect from bringing the blind forward to miss the handles, all conspire to rip it out of the fabric of the conservatory.
Wood is OK when fitting flush, as in a wooden conservatory, but for PVC offer aluwood instead.

Strange, because I've done several conservatories in wood venetians, and none have ever pulled out. I used the heavy duty face brackets that came with curved rails before they were replaced with the flimsy UEBs. I've still got enough of the old brackets to do 1 or 2 more conservatories, but will then stop, but only because the UEB isn't strong enough. Fortunately didn't do any whilst we've had the new style, takes 2 hands to raise it, wood venetians, but even these are now much better
